Why are poeple believing the Wikipedia page? Demolisher and Scavenger are the same figure. Demolisher has "SCVNGR" written on him. The only questionable figure is Overload.
I'm just throwing it out there as a possibility. There isn't enough info to know for sure yet. Although Demolisher's bio says when he came to earth Megatron was destroyed, but in the trailers we see the Constructicons are the ones who revived him. So he does seem to be on his own alot for someone who's part of a combiner team.
T-Macksimus wrote:Several of us already had this fight in a couple of other threads. To make the toy on this scale AND give it all the same functionality as what the Deluxe and Voyager components have would leave you with a floppy, fall-apart, frustrating piece of crap that only (some) collectors would be able to tolerate and no kid in Hasbros target demographic would be able to play with and enjoy without breaking it almost immediately or having it frustrate him inside of 5 minutes and I don't give a rats ass what anyone thinks to the contrary. It's just that simple. They cannot do it and retain ALL the proper characteristics so they went with pleasing the little kids since that's their meal ticket.
Sabrblade wrote:Um, of course Megatron was destroyed when the Constructicons came to Earth. Otherwise, they wouldn't be reviving him if he wasn't destroyed.Evil_the_Nub wrote:GetterDragun wrote:Evil_the_Nub wrote:The wikipedia page has Demolisher separate form the rest of the constructicons so he might not even be one, just coincidentally a construction vehicle.

Nah all this confusion was started by the writers, stating that Overload is part of Devastator and that Scavenger and Demolisher are two different characters while Demolisher's not even a Constructicon.![]()
We'll know everything once the movie comes out.
but yea, I wouldn't trust wikipedia and go with tfwiki who still have Demolisher and Scavenger listed as one and the same guy till there is proof that they really are separate.
The confusion is not over Demolisher and Scavenger, that was done by Hasbro...the confusion over the 7th constructicon is that Overload is listed ans the Takara Legends have 7 figures to make up Devestator.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.
vulgar_wraith wrote:I guess if I had a choice between this and 6 Constructicons that don't form Devistator I rather have this.I'm the type of collector that wouldn't even bother with the individual robots I just want the big guy.None of my gastults will probably even see individual robot mode again unless I move.So I will most likely get this over the other Constructicons.

That's probably why they made deluxe and voyager versions of them .

All I hope for is that this thing is NEVER released in G1 colors...EVER!

I edited and reorganized your comment.
First, the only people that use those kinds of words are those that have developed a level of hate for anyone who can prove their point over your beliefs...
Second, Haven't you ever heard of the new fangled-dangled gizmotech known as Pegs and Holes? You know, peg the bot kibble in place when forming a Devastator part? That creates stability and the articulated detail you are seeking. Yeah, it's expensive using new engineering techniques like the Peg and Hole, or worse yet... The Clip!
Third, I didn't think hasbro would have, until I saw somebody say they don't want G1 colors. Now it's inevitable.T-Macksimus wrote:The rest of it, as far as both sets of toys go (this thing and the other Deluxe/Voyager components) make for a festering crap-pile and it will be a total insult to give these...things... So you start your post by viciously attacking those that say hasbro could have done better and finish by saying its a piece of crap that you're not going to buy anyway because it insults G1...
So what are you so mad about? Getting to keep an extra $200? If it bothers you that much you can send it to me and I'll put the money to good use.

HighPrime wrote:HighPrime wrote:Pass. These guys must be able to change into robots for me to pick it up. It's ironic, really. If this were labeled 'Voltron' or something, not changing into robots would be acceptable.
Finally, I guarantee some store will get this as an exclusive re-colored G1 Devastator. I speculate the 'Scavenger' name was applied (or reserved) because of this. Maybe I'll pick up, then. See how the pricing works out.
