McGruff is a registered gun holder and inspired by classic detective genre...wears pants, sometimes a hat, and whatever is behind his trench coat.
Smokey is a composite of Yogibear and his ranger nemesis.
McGruff takes a bite out of the bear with a shovel and mounty hat after smoke roasting him over a camp fire. Also solves forest fire case and finds missing child.
