Some may o may not know that within the past year and a half I have been doing extra roles in movies that have been filming in New Orleans (12 Rounds, Benjamin Button). Unfortunately I was in crowd scenes and for those the regular extras are not credited. Well I am preparing to be in the Jonah hex movie and I am going to be one of Turnbulls main 12 soldiers.

Now to the part about IMDB and how that is relevant.

I had to sign papers that state that I am who I say I am (*phew*) for the casting company, I asked why they needed this detailed information and was told "it is for when we set up the IMDB page for the movie".
I of course said "can't anyone modify that information?"
The response was "yes, but initially the company puts the information in there and maintains it until the movie's release, and if someone other than the movie company modifies it and it is incorrect they change it".

I asked why my info was needed since I was but a lowly extra, and was told that if you are a specific character (henchmen #1 for example) you get credited. BUT if you are in a group of people and not a stand alone character then you do not get a credit.

So after all it is the movie companies that put the main info on IMDB.

My gf's roomie from college moved out to Cali and got a job with some production team, so now she has her own IMDB page credited. Not much on hers though, name, home town, age and that's about it. Still kind of weird seeing someone you know on there.
