So, a question as yet unasked: How would the SPARTAN-IIs (for example, Master Chief of Halo fame) fare against the Transformers?

Head + chest. Not really all that complicated.
The problem is most of them are over 20 ft tall, are more armored than Abrams tanks, have massive plasma cannons, and have millions of years of experience in warfare on countless worlds and environments.
Besides, I thought we were keeping non-combatants out of this contest.

I dunno. I think any Spartan's with RPG's and Spartan Lasers would be able to take down a few Transformers. Provided they hit them of course.
