Wasnt the whole point of this figure to get rid of that annoying white prime that was so silly the G1 animators didnt even acknowledge its existence ? It wouldnt be able to transform if the cab wasnt hollowed out. You and your damn vintage toy accuracy...I think you should wait for the Takara MP Magnus because it will probally be more what youre looking for. And I guarantee takara will make both the magnus head and white prime spot on and you wont have to spend more than MP-22 including upgrades.

Btw, this is for the still unreleased not UM right? I have to agree with you X. I'm not quite sure what Mr. whatever really wants. A UM with a core robot or a single fig transform system.

Plan to buy KFC UM and MP-22.

The KFC UM toy looks like it can support a replacement white cab. That can Transform into a White Optimus.Then combine into a super robot mode.If it gets made, Then I'll buy it. Don't see what the big deal is here in wanting Two options for this toy. Especially it the sculpt looks like it can easily support both options.

I think you are missing the whole concept behind this figure. Its meant to be cartoon accurate by doing away with the white prime. The trailer doesnt form armor like hasbro ultra magnus, it forms the body of the robot. There is no place to put a white prime. The cab is his back. The concept is pretty cool. If it was the size of FP motormaster I would buy it.

See that right there? That's the problem. The option already is available for exactly that for the character, this or the official MP Ultra Magnus. Seriously, what is the problem? Can't you wrap your brain around that? Why do you want to spend all that money on this then say you want EXACTLY WHAT TAKARA IS OFFERING YOU but this somehow. White Optimus + Ultra armor = MP-22 Ultra Magnus. This =/= that. Seriously, if your head was any farther up your ass on this you'd see the back of your molars.

After reading Maz's review and finding a sale for $135, I made the plunge this morning for DAI Commander. I'm hoping I get a good quality one. This guy will not be my collection's UM, as I already have City Commander in Classics and patiently awaiting MP Magnus in a few months. Will have to let you guys know the results when DAI is in hand next week.
