Okay I know this has crossed my mind several times and possible all of yours but, how do transformers reproduce considering there mostly an asexaul species barring the few femmes we've seen aisde.

I know most of us can think of atleast three methods but, what other methods are there? To help I will list three that I thought of off the top of my head.

Vector Sigma(G1 cartoon): This is one we are all mostly familair with considering megatron created the Stunticons body shells while the Super computer gave them life at the same time Optimus had cybertronian drones rebuilt into the aerialbots and had Vector Sigma also give them life.

The plasma energy chamber(G1: Rebirth): While I'm not sure how this would work it is mentioned by Optimus that the ealierest cybertronian where brought to life using it.

Cybercell division(G1 and G2 Comics): The first 13 where created by primus using them very method and latter it was the cause of the creation of the cybertronian empire.

Can anyone else think of anyother methods? Canon methods welcome and any theorys will be considered, please no joke methods I would like this to be serious discussion. Before any of you say it I know it's a cartoon I'm just curious on what you all think.

This subject, more than almost any other, is one of the most confusing, convoluted, argued, and poorly documented topics in the history of TF.

There was some kind of budding technique mentioned in the old comics, but for sanity-sake most people just go with the Vector Sigma thing.

Victory manga doesn't directly speak of reproduction, but it does have sisters and wives and children and all kinds of head hurt stuff.

The comics also had new Transformers created with the Matrix or a Matrix flame.

There was also something mentioned about reproduction in the last MTMTE issue IIRC.

I prefer the b-sexual method myself. Transformers exchange data in some form. A protoform and its stasis pod develop within its parent, in which time the "mother" ingests the resources that are needed to construct said protoform. After gestation the protoform and its stasis pod detach from the "mother", and the protoform scans its first alternate mode.

I know it sounds odd considering that Transformers are machines, but it's the method of reproduction I use in my off-site games.

There is, and I can't recall it off the top of my head, but isn't it basically that new Transformers are built and then imbued with a Spark?

Yeah, thanx for that link. But it still seems like there is no one true why. It just depends on which universe/story line your in.
