TFTM Sludge & Grimlock

Postby lookjerk » Fri Nov 30, 2007 8:47 am

Comments and criticism are appreciated. I plan to do the rest of the team eventually. Blackout-Swoop, Dropkick-Slag, and Barricade or Wreckage to Snarl. I'm adding some details and I need to do something to Sludge's head, but those details take me forever to complete and I was excited to post these. Thanks.

You did a great job repainting them, and the weathering looks really great too, but yeah, the heads need some work, at least the Prime one..Still looks way to much like Prime to be anyone else. But since I don't have the ability to do those types of changes, I can't offer anything more constructive than that. Very nice job.

Looking good! Sludge doesn't get neatly enough love! Grim might be the leader, but Sludge is the tallest!
Like they said about the heads. Longarm's head comes out of the box 90% there, but Prime needs a lot of re-sculpting. On a simpler note, I think that what they really need is more red and gold! Dinobots are all about the gold!
Is there an Ironhide/ Slag repaint on the way? Might I suggest a really pointy grill guard?

Very nice paint apps, but I have to agree with Tom, they need a bit more color. Even in bot modes silver and gold, and the occasional bit of red was visible.

Can't wait to see the rest of the team.

They are cool repaints, but the Prime is really in need of head modification. Other than that and some added gold highlights, they are very sweet.

Might I suggest you use Starscream or Dreadwing instead of Blackout for your Swoop custom?

Awesome. Since they are TFTM i think the Grimmy head would look great with just the chin filed off. The Sludge head wont be easy. G1 Sludges head looks slightly small in proportion so would a replacement work? Maybe G1 Infeno could be easily modified?
I love the repaint style. How cool would it be to have the Dynobots heavy mech team in TFTM 2? Realy looking forward to what you come up with for the rest of the team. Great work.

Swoop? Maybe, just a quickie.I know he needs a face, and some red. I'm just out of red paint. So hard to find good faces these days.

A decent use for that awful Prime mould. However, like the other users said, it seems a bit bland without the quintessial gold and red highlighting their modes. However, I was a bit surprised that the modes were not dinosaurs.

These are amazing i love what you have done with the Prime mold he looks so bad ass in truck mode but i do think that Sludge needs a bit more gold on him to give him that real Dinobot look, nice work so far cant wait to see the whole team

Really nice- the quality of your paintwork is top notch (sorry, I seemed to turn into babelfish translator for a second there...)

There was a movie scout class toy that turned into a jet, I've completely forgotten its name but it was an autobot. I have to say I think it would have been a better choice for Swoop, mostly just because of the size, but what you've done is still great. I especially like Sludge.

If you got another longarm, did the same paintjob on his head and popped it onto grimlock, it would look much more grimlock-ish.
fantastic job.,
This not badass. It's so BAD, it's ASS!
