As some of you might know, fellow TF community site "The Allspark" had seemed to have been recently hacked twice. After the first hack, the entire site (all account info, old posts, etc) was erased, so the admin/owner created a newer, swankier version, which lines really good on mobile devices too. Soon after the relaunch, someone again hacked the site and deleted everything.

Here's the pinned message at the Allspark Discord:

I am sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, and again sorry for asking, but if there's anything the community here (be they fellow users, admin, mods, site owner, etc.) could do, then please do. The Allspark and Seibertron, to me at least, seem like kindred spirits, in that neither seemed toxic, on the whole. It would be great if any of us could help with getting it back up on its feet!

As a full disclosure, I am not representing the AP in any official capacity and nor have I been asked, or told to ask others for help. I might even be meddling where it's not wanted, but I wanted to do something. The site owner is pretty down right now, you see.

Any help would be appreciated!

All I can say is that I have dealt with my fair share when it comes to dealing with people who choose to be vindictive. And not going into any real specifics, it took a video game forum to have me return here. Where as I will not return to any others I have left just because having my replies left alone is far more enjoyable than what I dealt with back then. :lol:

As for any help... I can only presume that the hacker did it because they were justifiably banned. It's something that kind of happened to me during my days as a moderator (among a few other things). But cases like this sound like the hacker in question took the site for granted, possibly protested their banning via email, and chose to do this because they refused to take responsibility for their actions.

Other than that, I am 100% hoping for it to return! Seibertron.com has matured over the years, but I also feel like the current incarnation of my fandom needs more space. Or just a better direction that has me avoid the sudden need to put fiction before any toys that catch my interest! :lol:

But even then, my past experiences have me wonder what can be done to catch said hacker.

Cheers folks. The good news is that they've still got a discord, which you can Google search for (as I'm not sure that, even here, I'm allowed to publicise/link to?) .

For me, as much as I like Seibertron, I've been looking for a more "mobile friendly" site. The Allspark, especially it's new design, scratched that itch (due to another TF site being to far too toxic to be part of, and I'm sure you know which one I mean).

Regardless, I'm not here to spend time criticising other sites. I just hope the AS can rise again as a site.

That is good to hear. And from what I have read, you are free to promote them as you have stated they are a 'toxic free' site that compliments this one. ;)^

As for that other site... It was the first of two fan forums I had permanently left last year. The other was a well known Star Wars fan forum, but I found it to be a shadow of its former self. Where the one you have mentioned becoming one of the main reasons why I chose to tolerate it.

But yeah, I am planning to join Allspark.com once they are back up. By then I should have a better idea on what I want to collect, how I want to collect, and so on. With added hopes we will have extra news on Renegade Games' official Transformers TRPG! With more on that later this month.

So for me, I will try to swing by their Twitter account from time to time. But for me, I am anticipating their return. Especially if 2022 has my luck turn around for the better. :PRAY:

The Allspark is back up, and at the usual address. However, we need to join it again and all previous bookmarks for various sections no longer work, as the whole site was rebuilt from the ground up.
