Pretty funny, but doesn't beat the time I convinced someone in high school that there were amphibious jellyfish in the Lake of the Ozarks, or someone else that there was a simple code (available on the internet) that when punched into a phone, would cause the phone on the other end of the call to explode, so long as the latter was manufactured during the Cold War.
