You realize that's the deluxe (2 pack) Fatimus you've pictured. If so, never mind, but I like that one better than the big fatty daddy that usually gets complaints. I find it more interesting that he combines with other deluxe (or voyager) autobots, including Rodimus, making him a literal Romdimus Prime! ;)^

Oh and hate Arcee if you must, but at least it showed up where you are. I looked for that thing for months and never saw it and I wasn't going to pay double to get it online. Pass it on if you must, there are plenty of people that want one that couldn't find it. |:|

No it's not. (I said several times it's my fave TF, I don't fall into this kind of trap

You got fooled because it's the Takara version I posted (apparently Seibertron galleries do not exist for the Hasbro version).
The Takara Voyager version has the same deco (with chrome) as the deluxe one , hence your mistake. Look closely the hand sliders, the feet, and of course the chest windows.

99% of my TFs are from BBTS and ebay. With shipping and such. I think the only from local stores I got are energon Ironhide, Demolisher and Inferno.

I think most of the "hype" and general "fanboying" regarding He Who Must Not Be Named was a deliberately over the top reaction to all the negativity and dislike he attracted when he was first announced, which made the people who dislike him stick to their positions even more strongly which in turn made the people who liked him continue overhyping him etc.

As a toy he's one of the better CW moulds, but he still isn't spectacular. As a character, well, he doesn't have much characterisation but I was never attached to any specific Aerialbots so I don't mind him "replacing" one.

If I wasn't aware of what other people thought of him I probably wouldn't like him all that much but I certainly wouldn't dislike or hate him, so the more other people express their dislike of him the more I feel opposed to that point of view.

Funny thing is, I actually do like him largely because of the strong characterisation he eventually received in TFCC :lol:

My main gripe is the character. Lets start with the name. "Alpha Bravo". ugh ... that just feels like they didn't put much thought into the name.

Then, he's replacing a pre-existing character. Simply because Hasbro took the pre-remold/repaint route (which I honestly thought/think was/is a good idea) and needed to get the mold out there before Vortex and Blades.

THEN ... not only was he replacing a pre-existing character, he was subbing into a team of jets.

A helicopter in a team of jets.

Ignoring the whole "they're alien robots from outer space and defy what we would consider logic" ... he's still a helicopter in a team of jets.

Then of course there is the AB fanboys/girl who make as much noise as a helicopter taking off. I'm sure the majority of them are just on the AB bandwagon because it's fun to troll and not because they actually think it's a fantastic mold/character.

The mold is OK IMO. Personally I don't particularly think a helicopter in a team of aircraft is as bad as a civilian airliner in a team of military aircraft. I'm more annoyed that Vortex was a straight redeco of him without even a new head.

I like AB. Mine has the reprolabels amd ia dual wielding guns while paired with Chromia, also dual wielding the small arcee pistols, while riding the shoulders of Omega Supreme. In my mind, AB has the battle crazed unhinged personality Vangelus gave him in the opening of his review.

A toy i love that everyone hates is classics Galvatron. I don't usually have transformation problem, he changes colour when he transforms like the toon and he's so cery poseable and has an awesome headsculpt. I love that Galvatron. And no he shouldn't ve a voyager. He's the perfect aize. Same as scourge, shorter than cyclonus.

As I don't like him at all and sold him years ago, I think it's a very good entry for the topic

I don't mind him. Yeah, he's not perfect, and he definitely has his flaws, but he was far from being a mess that some people make him out to be.

Plus as you said, he scales in well with Scourge and Cyclonus. All three look good together. To me, I can't do that with CW/TR because I simply do not like CW Cyclonus.

not much of a list i have. but i'll try.
the one i like that people don't is cybertron crosswise, and any version of that mold. on a lot of review, i rarely hear good things about him, especially his robot mode and transformation. people seems to think he is fiddly, and the robot mode not worth it. i personally actually love him. i love his robot mode, and how none of his kibble hinder his articulation at all.

as for the one i don't like that people love is rid fracture. a lot of people seems to love him ,and he even made it to "top 5 best motorcycle transformers" list. while i don't hate him, i persoanlly think he is meh and kinda boring, especially after playing with other decepticons from the same line. he is not bad, but not that great either.

Crosswise is awesome. I really like the monster hunter backstory and he looks similar to one of the Datsuns, so he's an unofficial brother to me. The hip cannons are just neat too.

Something about the figure never clicked with me. it's good, but I was never exceptionally blown away with it. The turret holding the tanto(dagger) is really cool yes, but it's kind of an one trick pony as I would have liked it better as a detachable shield. The articulation never really felt dynamic enough for a sword wielder either.
Finally, I remember reading about fragile hands that will snap the fingers off if you move the sword around too much.

Really? People don’t like crosswise? I have the smokescreen redeco and I think it’s friggin AMAZING and I love it.

A toy I feel I should like more is thrilling 30 Windblade. I want to love it but it just doesn’t hit the right notes.

A toy I shouldn’t really like that much is erector. *pause for laughter* yeah hahaha. I think his name is funny too, in fact that was the reason why I got him! But he is so much more, I just really like that figure, and I don’t know why! Now I want more Micromasters.

Crosswise has never been hated. Probably replaced in the shelves by better transformers (he's 10y old after all and we got better carformers since), but hated ? no, people were enthusiast when he was released.

Apparently everybody is mad to the fact he does not transform as monkey. I've read 90% hate on him.

There's a very small % trying to defend him, maybe he'll become a second alpha bravo, over-defended by the small portion. But wathever happens, I'm already in this small group.

good to know. I haven't came back on tf fandom on cybertron era, so i didn't know. My assumption of him being hated was formed by the fact that 90% of review of that mold (crosswise, smokescreen, jolt) that i watch and read are saying he is bad or ok toy at most.

I don't think it's fair to review a 10y old toy with 2017 references, it doesn't represent its love/hate when released.
As I said, we got better carformers now, hence his probable note in 2017, but when released he got a strong 10 from everybody.

In the previous page there's somebody mentionning MP01 over MP10. It's the same. Yes, people now prefers MP10, but when released MP01 was the f***g holy grail.

The reason I'm not feeling the new primal is because the optimal part doesn't look like it does anything the original can't do and the smaller primal is a rectangle. That still has a big backpack. I'd be happy to have primal with a cyberton mode but something a bit more inspiring than a box. Sorry, space cargo freighter.

I know. I just wanted to say why I'm not really digging him. Not because he's not a monkey. Who knows, maybe if I get hold of one in person, I'll actually fall in love with it?
