Think about it...Targetmasters existed BEFORE they were introduced.

If you think about it, Targetmasters existed before they were introduced. Targetmasters are basically transformers that turn into guns for their masters. Well, Starscream's not Megatron's master, but since Megatron transformed into a gun, anybody that held Megatron would at the time be his targetmaster. He turned into a smaller gun, I know, but just thinking about it you can pretty much figure out how they came up with "Targetmasters"

I've always felt Targetmasters should've been a bit more common. At least compared to the other 'Masters.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

I suppose they kind of are. There were double-Targetmasters after all, and no double-Headmasters (Overlord is the only sort-of double-Powermaster) and since the original line, we've had a lot of other robots that have turned into guns (and other weapons) that could be used by bigger bots.

Ah, yeah. I guess for me it's just unlike Head and Powermasters, it's less invasive and if something happens to the other, you're not left basically crippled.
