Weapon: tea cup."
The bad news: looks like they'll cost more than the average voyager... Are we paying 50% extra for the little human are are voyagers just going up in price?

Maybe, but not to $29.99. I really doubt that ALL Voyagers are going to be that price.

That REALLY doesn't surprise me at all...Did anyone really think they'd cost the same as a regular voyager? I assumed they'd be about the price of an Ultra, and it appears I was right

I'd guess Arcee could be one.
For the other, maybe Jolt or Sideswipe. It'd be nice if they were all in scale with each other and Alternators.
It also says there'll be 24 deluxes and 11 voyagers. That ROTF line is going to be huge.

From what I heard hasbro said the 3 would be prime, ironhide and Bumblebee.

I was assuming the human action figures would all be the same size, and if that were the case, they couldn't really include large characters like Optimus, and keep the same price point.
Anyway, I don't really want another voyager Optimus figure.

A couple of pieces of interest-
#1) Three Human Alliance Sets will be released- we know of Bumblebee, but are unsure of the others. We do know that Aaron Archer has Mikaela on his wishlist, so at this point she is not paired with any Transformer ally.
TRANSFORMERS MOVIE HUMAN ALLIANCE
(Approximate retail price: $29.99; Ages 5 & up; Available: August 2009)
For the first time, the new TRANSFORMERS MOVIE HUMAN ALLIANCE collection allows kids to play with the human characters alongside the TRANSFORMERS. When the TRANSFORMERS are in vehicle mode, the human figures fit inside and can go along for the ride. When the TRANSFORMERS are in robot mode, the human figures can be positioned at different battle stations. Three different characters will be available in 2009 – complete with a 2 1/4-inch human action figure – including BUMBLEBEE and friend Sam Witwicky.
#2) That the Mega Powerbots Devastator has an alt mode of sorts, laying him on his stomach as kind of a vehicle Voltron combined style.
TRANSFORMERS MOVIE MEGA POWER BOTS
(Approximate retail price: $34.99; Ages 4 & up; Available: August 2009)
Taking POWER BOTS to the next level with a second mode for “mega” action! Robots include OPTIMUS PRIME and DEVASTATOR. When the DEVASTATOR POWER BOT figure is face down, he appears to be six different vehicles, but when standing upright, he is the monstrous DECEPTICON, DEVASTATOR.

You can see the full press release of ROTF toys on HASBRO's official page here.

Sign of the times. $US weakness means it buys less on world markets when retailers buy goods to stock shelves which means higher prices for the end consumer.
Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

Fat chance. Ironhide and Prime would have to be much larger, and more expensive.

Yeah, and I'm worried they're churning out so many figures that most will be crap.
Megatron_Wolf wrote:Wait so those crappy human figures are $7? Those bots better be bigger than voyagers for $30.
We've already been told that they're Voyager. Apart from a little person we have to pay for inflation, extra safety control and A REALLY COOL LOOKING COMPLICATED ROBOT.
I don't like having Autobots without a corresponding Decep and vice versa so it'd be a shame if they don't give us some Deceps but I know it'll never happen. Bring back Arkevil!

Her character is property HASBRO and Paramount. Unless it is in her contract, I would say can make any requests she wants, but ultimately the choice is the people who own her character's likeness.

Except your also assuming that they three figures will be perfectly to scale...Hasbro hasn't exactly been known for putting scale as a priority...Bumblebee may very well just be large compared to OP and Ironhide...

Remember that whole lead paint scare about a little over a year ago? Well it's not the US Government that's using lead-paint on our children's toys...The toys we import from overseas are SUPPOSED to be lead-free...Now that it's turning out that they aren't, a higher level of precaution is needed...

Yeah, how dare the US gov't try to protect children from the potential brain damage caused by lead paint. Who cares if kids end up retarded? It far more important for you to save a few bucks on your toys, isn't it?

It's a bit late for that, there were already 2 released in the Movie Scene sets last time around.

No I was just stating the fact that the testing was one reason prices were going up. I'd prefer safer toys than dangerous ones, even though I think someone should bring back Lawn Darts

well , if parents would use common sense, and stop their kids from putting toys in their mouths, trying to eat them, there would be no need for these type of laws.

Actually what you say with sarcasm, I say with conviction. "How dare the US gov't try to protect children from the potential brain damage caused by lead paint." It's none of their slagging business and it's a waste of my cash and the freedom of a toy company to choose how to do it's business. Such safety concerns should be driven by the free markets not a few scared parents and a pushy couple of congressmen.
