Hercules hands down. It is amazing and basically a masterpiece Devestator. Giant is sort of, eh.... The combined mode looks a little goofy.

Giant because I want it to be the same basic size as Bruticus and Superion. Oh, it looks like Hercules is going to do that too? Well, Giant because it'll cost less then my rent for a month.

I was literally seconds away from pulling the trigger on Dr crank and pre-ordering MB and NB..Then botcon registration happened. Im gonna try and grab them at the con now. Structor so far is my fav!!!

If MAKEtoys had come out first I might have gotten behind them but like a earlier post stated, Hercules essentially is a Masterpeice devastator. IMO if the finished product goes off without a hitch, whats to stop TFC from making, oh I dont know, MENASOR!!!!!!

Ugh...why is everyone clamoring for a Menasor figure?

He was the worst combiner of the whole series...even in the cartoon his combined form was nothing but a bunch of square blocks with the car bodies "pasted" onto the backs of them, almost like after thoughts...I always thought he was kinda ugly and generically done.

He would need a total overhaul and be given a bunch of detail and fleshed out a little...but that would conversly make him less canon. Also, the last thing I want to see is a bunch of "combiner flooding" just to satisfy the masses. The thing that makes the wait between Herc pieces is the total badarse quality of each piece.

A poll before both are released in full? Shenanigans.

How can anyone not be excited for Menasor? I mean these guys were created to be the evil autobots... call em the original shattered glass. I know some of you never watched the G1 cartoon or read the comics, but wow. Menasor is made up of the most charismatic combiner team. Please do your homework on the thundercons/stunticons, you'll thank me for it.

I like Herc's design much better, but I bet Giant will at least get the colors right when they do a green version. Why TFC gave Bonecrusher/Neckbreaker a black chest is a mystery drenched in all-out knobbery. But Giant has an exposed wang... I think the only right answer might be C, even though that song sucks.

1: Menasor is awesome. Period.

2: The Stunticons are all better and more realized individual characters than any other combiner group. The later combiner groups would put the focus on only one member (Swindle & First Aid) or they'd have no characterization at all (Predacons, Terrorcons & Technobots). At least as far as the G1 cartoon went.

3: Menasor's amazing appearance in the first part of IDWs Ongoing and last years Botcon set being the Stunticons, they got pushed to the front of everyone's collective "WANT" list.

4: It doesn't hurt that the rumor has been floating around that Fansproject, the five star best of the third party companies, has been wanting to make one.

Seriously, is there anyone who wouldn't buy a Fansproject Stunticon set?

Hercules. Doesn't hurt I already own the four released and this is my Classics Devastator.

As for Menasor? I'd buy one definitely... but I think I'd like to see other combiners first.

point is no poll is worth the effort if were comparing something people have in hand to one that doesnt even have a preorder yet just saying. >:oP

I didnt mean to imply I am in a state of total Menasor boycott...but it would have to be done right...I think Fansproject or maybe even TFC (after Herc is done) would do a good job.

What I DONT want to see is a cartoon-accurate toy depiction of him...where his arms are big white blocks with the car bodies just attached onto the back and his legs are all..."boxy" looking without detail. But if it came out at least as good as Superion (WITH the upgrade LoL), then I would seriously consider added him to the collection.

Priorities, however, must be maintained, LoL:
1. Neckbreaker and Madblender to complete Herc
2. ROTF Bruticus w/upgrade
3. ???
4. Profit

Just trying to get some nice discussion going. Forums have been dull as of late.

And honestly, is one's opinion going to change towards the other if they own the toy in hand? For example someone buys Giant without owning Hercules and ends up not liking Giant anymore and leans more towards Hercules.. Yeah.. not happening. Not everyone has the 1 grand to spend on these two beauties.

May as well have a thread like this. Every single Herc/Giant update has had this discussion.

As for Menasaur, he's the next Combiner I want done. And the last I actually really care about, despite being a Season 1-2 fan. For some reason Defensor never clicked with me. (Although I'd still get a nice Defensor if they made him).

I voted for make toys giant.

IMHO,Giant looks more like 1985 G-1 Devestator in sculpted designs in all three modes. I also prefer the constructicons to be deluxe or basic sized. basic for the toy size scale & deluxe for the media cartoon size scale.

Ofcause i don't like the G-2 colors on giant. I'll wait to buy giant when the G-1 1985 colors get put on giant.

I don't think many of us have the $cratch to purchase even one of these Devastator homages. I think most of us will watch the popular video reviewers and make a determination which Devastator they would hypothetically buy if they had the disposable income. In hand reviews are truly where popular opinion of the fandom are won and lost. And the winner is... the toy maker$.

Ive been on the Giant wagon since day one. I think he looks the best in devastator mode and the size fits well with my classics combiners. Hercules wins with individual robot modes but im mostly concerned about combined figure. i just cant get over how bulky herc looks and that peg leg that is mixmaster looks awful to me.

I've already said my piece about these 2 behemoth's in previous threads. What will happen is some fan will finally get his hands on both and post his online review. Some will already have their chosen Devy but the video review will help most fans make that choice of who is the true victor. Imagine that comparison review of the two...gundam! :shock:

Some have already chosen with their wallets but I've always been a believer of if you want the best you gotta pay for the best.

What I will add is between the two combiners IMO Giant has better looking weapons for each individual robot unlike Hercs similar red purple red purple guns. For now I shall continue to wait with Zen-like patients...'nuff said. :VEHI:

It doesn't matter if a nice discussion is started, there will ALWAYS be people who will come out trying to bash it. Why?- maybe they just love to bitch about everything. It's so weird how there are "fans" of Transformers on here, but all they seem to do is complain about how everything made "sucks".......

I choose Giant. IMO, they are a better homage than Hercules. I also like the size better. Fits in better with my collection, especially in the third party section. I think all modes look awesome: bot, alternate, and combined mode. For some reason, TFC's figures looked too.........."lego-ish". And if the pics I have seen are correct, I really dig the alternate uses for the accessories........
