I haven't opened them yet because I'm trying to decide if I want to do this YouTube video. Anyway, for now you can see the difference. Kup is really a faded version of the Studio Series 86 version, and Cliffjumper is using cartoon colors, even if they aren't exactly right. I think the grays should be a darker gray, but I'm dead wrong. LOL

Why are the last 3 days bad?

(Kup and Cliffjumper) I mean it could partly be, because Pulse just had a small supply (knowing that Target was the main retailer for these). But even as desirable repaints, its not exactly as if Buzzworthy stuff is hard to find. I've not had any trouble seeing any of them. Even the highly praised origins BB is still in my area. I even saw the super rare "worlds collide" 4-pack multiple times, once I could have even got it 25% off, but passed.
I'm guessing it may be for the small demographic in the U.S. that may not have a Target in close proximity to them?

To be fair, the BB stuff being easy to find is definitely a your-mileage-may-vary thing. I never had an issue seeing the first Deluxe wave that was SS reissues (it had to get clearanced out to leave) or the gimmicky stuff I had no interest in, but my Target only just got Origins Bee in time for Christmas and never got any stock of the Worlds Collide set despite having a tag for it even.o.supreme wrote:I am just curious why the 2 Buzzworthy items sold out so quickly on Pulse? Also has Pulse ever put up a retailer exclusive that DIDN'T sell out, other than the non-transforming R.E.Ds?

This is likely a much larger demographic than you realize. There are plenty of rural areas where there isn't a Target within a 40 miles, especially once you get away from the larger cities. There are even more where there is only one Target within 40 miles, but if that Target just doesn't get product often enough, you may be out of luck. Plus if you have to drive 30+ miles just to hope they have something in stock, what's the point?

Ahh yes, crazy me for thinking that brand new items like SS86 Sludge, and Junkheap, would sell better than 2 slight repaints, on a subline, that will likely shelf warm like all the others in the Buzzworthy line. Of course I am constantly reminded that I live in some sort of retail "bubble" that is the opposite of reality. (where whether something is desirable or not, I can only ever find the things I have no interest in)
*I do see now that Sludge pre-orders have sold out on Pulse, but that wasn't the case as of yesterday.

Why would you blame yourself?
No one would've or could've guessed a SS86 figure would've been given a new, even more accurate version...
This is 100% on Hastak...
And I'm not saying that as though I'm mad. I'm very happy to have these new versions.
But while we share very similar opinions on other aspects of the matter, I just don't think anyone can point a figure at themselves for buying the first versions of these characters.

sol magnus wrote:I mean, I blame me for buying it again - not being happy with what I already have. Hastak makes toys to sell them. But no one says we have to buy everything they make. I'm supposed to be cutting back this year, but it's not really even slated to start until Legacy comes out. I think I've gotten everything except Black Zarak released this year for Generations.
Plus I bought a Unicron.
