Hey guys, I think I missed something but are we even sure that the picture on the poster represents a toy that will be made? I took it as a promo for the upcoming poll where they can show what we can expect to get from our surveys (ie: decos to use to make anew combiner).

Well, the poll that produced Windblade produced an entirely new mold, so there's that precedence that the new poll might also generate completely new molds as well, rather than mere redecos/remolds of preexisting molds.

That made sense

Windblade was a single figure, where as this one will be at least 5-6 figures, we may not get a whole new design as we did with Windblade, but choose from a selection of designs for the limbs/gorse (Tank, Jet, Car, Helicopter, truck etc)

Its status is still currently listed as "Cancelled". If they had plans for a new Thunderclash, it'd be wise for Hasbro to have reapplied as soon as possible.

We'll see if they do go for a new name, but I'd imagine that the normal one wouldn't be too hard for them to reapply for.

Still though, one thing that stands out to me about this possibly be a new Thunderclash is its lack of distinctly Thunderclash-y colors. There's no blue or yellow on the head, which were prominent aspects of Thunderclash's head. If anyone, I'd think this were a new Nova Prime, but the Club making theirs just rules about that out completely.

For all we know, this might just simply be a special-colored version of Optimus himself. Like "Arctic Tundra Optimus Prime" or something.

My strongest feeling is that it's a powered up Ultra Magnus. I really do think the Leader Class Ultra Magnus will be a repaint of Voyager CW Optimus with a trailer that combines with him to make a roughly leader sized, 'normal' looking Ultra Magnus, but the core Voyager-class Ultra Magnus can still combine with other Transformers to make a much bigger bot - maybe an avatar for Nexus Prime?

Hasbro will be pushing the four levels of play - he's a transport that can carry four deluxe class cars in his trailer, then he's a voyager-class robot with big honking Deceptiscrappin' fists, then he combines with his trailer to properly enforce the Tyrest accord, and when the chips are down, he ditches the trailer and combines with the Autobots he was carrying around to begin with. (It means CW Magnus's trailer components are probably just tossed aside unused, but that's what R.I.D. firetruck Prime did with most of his extra components when he combined with R.I.D. Ultra Magnus.)

We've seen those listings for the various Autobots we presume are repaints of Stunticons and others, but we haven't really been considering how Hasbro would cross-sell them. Prime's been released right here at the beginning, and will likely be long gone from the shelves by the time Prowl, etc., show up, so who would they market them combining with?

I really think leader-class Magnus will be a white prime + trailer, but I also think we're all going to be really surprised by how the trailer combines with him. I don't think it will use the existing combination gimmick in the way any of us were initially expecting (e.g., the supermode head won't become Ultra Magnus's head, Ultra Magnus's head will somehow come from the trailer).

THats a cool idea. I had hoped some 3Rd party would do the same to make CW Optimus into Something similar into PM prime or Energon Op. ANd then a Black Repaint for Motormaster/Nemesis Prime (if they gave him black Prime heads as an Addon). As for White Optimus Not being Thunderclash. Its so weird as CW Motormaster/Optimus' truck mode and transformation are VERY Thunderclash/Mechine wars Prime-y. And the Supermode's Closed Chest is VERY similar to the unproduced Turbomaster Super Leader Hyperdrive. Also the Stunticons would make great Turbomasters with recolors and new heads. I wonder with such clear Thunderclash looking alt mode, we're not getting a TClash upgrade. :/

Would love to see the Areobots recolored into Skyquake and the Europe Preditor Jets, and their combined mode could BE SCRASH. Heh heh.

This Line WOULD be a good place to have an Appearance by Nexus Prime.

Oh man Would love to see a Last Stand of the Wreckers Combiner recolored from Defensor (with Pyro recolored from Hotspot), and Wrecker Ruination Recolored from the Combaticons.

If the white bot is thunderclash though, and i personally think it will be a promo pic for the fan built combiner, I bet the Gestalt' name is hyperdrive. Nevet completed turbomaster leader, who's only artwork we've seen is simply lineart. I.e. He's already all white.

Side musing though, how awesome would a turbomaster scorch look made from the generations trailcutter mold?

Yeah I've been talking to Ben Yee and Azim for weeks now at how CW Prime's Supermode LOOKS alot like Hyperdrive. ANd with the Normal mode and truck form being very Thunderclash like, I thought it would be cool that the reason why we never saw Hyperdrive is because he had to be formed out of the Turbomasters to summon him. Sort of how TFCC's Nexus Prime Only exsistes when the 5 other robots give up their individual will to form Nexus Prime.
