They are simply trying to make it more movie accurate. If you look Starscream has these ID letters all over him in the movie, but the toy has jack..until now.

I think this one looks a LOT better in silver then the desert camo. It's more movie accurate IMO.

Anyone else think that they're not doing a Skywarp repaint, because he'll be in TF2? And just look at how much cash this mold is raking in!

Its just you, its the Voyager starscream, in metallic silver.

There's already a Metallic Megatron, and a metallic Optimus.

Megatron is a Best Buy exclusive, and Optimus was a Target exclusive tagged Robo-vision Prime.

He never had a sword in the movie, this is a common mistake. What you see which people think is a sword is actually just his left arm transforming into gun-mode, exactly the same way it did when he landed on the Hoover dam.

true but the same can be said for the Megatron Voyager mould.. the paint application goes along way into making him more believeable and more realistically a jet then the previous version...

This is a crummy paint job, and in my opinion a good reason to not want to like the figure..

however this little Gem makes the mould worth it, on a purely aesthetic level in terms of coloring.. it really makes a difference..this looks more like the movie version, then that crappy colored version above..

I wil get the metallic one, and sell off the original..
it's just not a great toy color.. i mean back to what i was saying.. who the hell makes a peach or caucasian Jet??

I already have the Thundercracker repaint, so no reason at all to pick this up ( doesn't look all that great :/). I was considering to get G1 Starscream repaint but thats about the only other figure of this mold i would get. Thundercracker still looks the best and they should have had a Skywarp repaint instead of the metallic *shrug*.
