Description: A new Autobot arrives just as the Decepticons unleash the ultimate hunter.

Based on the events of "Rage of the Dinobots", and the fact that he's getting so many figures in several size classes in the toyline, it's gotta be Ultra Magnus who's coming to help the Autobots.

Thanks to Zap2it we now have the title and a brief synopsis for the third episode of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters. The episode is titled "Prey" and scheduled to air on April 5th. Check out the description below.

Ok, before anyone goes nuts, I don't care about what Rage of the Dinobots implies, WE DON"T KNOW if this is Ultra Magnus or not, so STOP saying it is.

well, we have no way of knowing for sure it is ultramagnus but it is one the logical choices. i hope it is and if its not then it will be a big surprise.

While I agree with you that it is just speculation, the Rage of the Dinobots comics have been stated, by Hasbro, as feeding directly into Prime - Beast Hunters.

So it is very likely that it will be Ultra Magnus, although this is not confirmed.

I completely agree with you. If Hasbro was being truthful about the RotD tie in, then it should be Ultra Magnus.

However, if it's not UM then who else could it be? We haven't really had any other clues via upcoming figures, etc. Although I want to see UM at some point this season, it would be great to get some surprise Autobot reinforcements too! Based on the newest trailer, they're going to need as much help as they can get and I hope we see several new additions to Team Prime.

Im guessing its gonna be Ultra Magnus. He has a couple figures out on the toy line.

Do you see that Forge of Silas looking hammer the supreme figure of him has. We all know how powerful Ultra Magnus is. I am wondering what kind of incredible powers he is going to bring to the Autobot cause. I hope he can control the weather like before.

Could be. But the greatest possibility is Ultra Magnus, and we have a number of things supporting such a theory.

Aligned Ultra Magnus not only has five toys, but also appears in six parts of the continuity's fiction (Exodus, WFC, Exiles, FoC Multiplayer, Prime cameo, and Rage of the Dinobots). He's a key character in a few of those fictions too. Not to mention his debut in Prime would give Optimus the ability to be repaired. We've seen promotional images and toys with Ultra Magnus wielding the Forge of Solus Prime, so it only makes sense that Optimus passes the matrix to him so he can turn around and build Optimus a new toy give Optimus a new body. I can't recall where I heard this from, and it was an official statement, but the Autobots are supposed to undergo a new leadership this season. Temporary or not, Magnus is the best candidate. A side note is that the official introduction of Ultra Magnus to Prime could result in a new band of Wreckers, seeing as Magnus was/is the leader of the Aligned Wreckers and there are already two on Earth.

So, what does Ultra Magnus have? Numerous toys, multiple continuity appearances, and two reasons within the story for his introduction. Hasbro's almost shoving the character down our throat. Completely rejecting the possibility and telling us to stop making comment to the high likelihood like you are doing is bad comedy. And yet it's all speculation.
