I see that on Entertainment Earth, but that's probably a revision case since it says wave 2 and these guys came way later. They were definitely originally sold two of each character per case.

Anyway, on to TR, I've got the Leaders and first wave of Titan Masters in (nothing around here at retail) and man, these are really fun. I'm a big fan of the base modes and you can really put a cool little mini-city together just with these first two leaders. They also have these little tiny pegs on them where you can plug in the Titan Masters' feet so they don't just fall over aimlessly. Loudmouth's vehicle can even make a really cool little radar dish, Nightbeat's is an observation tower for me, Terri-bull's is an armed surveillance camera, and Crash-bash, well, stays in adorable dinosaur mode.
PMOP is getting way too much bummer vibes online. Yes, it's a remold, big whoop. It's a really really super good remold. Being able to have the Titan Masters sit around in the dual guns is a great homage to the Powermasters being able to do the same back in the day. The "official" base mode transformation is a little weak, but it really doesn't take much messing around to make it miles better.
Blaster is also fantastic. Nice to finally have a good 'Classics' styled Blaster after all these years. Having to take the head off to transform it doesn't bother me, and maybe one day I'll understand why this is such a sticking point for some folks. Is it a worry that the character won't be done again, ever, in this style and you feel like you'll be stuck with some inferior Headmaster Blaster for your 'Classics' collection? I think if we've learned anything lately, it's that they'll recycle a popular character if it fits in a line well. Additionally, if you really want a definitive, cartoon styled Blaster, just go buy the KFC Transistor. You won't beat it. It's a great toy.
That tangent aside, my only gripe is that the base mode connectors on the leaders don't have the ability to truly connect to either Micromaster bases or the older Cyberverse style connectors. I didn't expect them to, but once you get a look at them they're so close yet so far away from looking like they could work with Micromasters that if you're like me and desired such a thing, you'll sigh and wonder what could have been.
Anyhow, what I have of this line so far is just fantastically playable. These are collector-oriented products that also cater to folks that like to still play with their toys on occasion, and I think that's a super smart balance for the Generations line to start hitting given that so much of the "serious" collecting pieces have moved over to Masterpiece. I'm all in, bring on the rest!

Today's hunt paid off! I hit the TRU across the river from Omaha in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and to my chagrin found two lonely TR Voyagers waaaaaaaaaay up on the top shelf.
Well then much to mine, I stand corrected, Wolfy.Wolfman Jake wrote:Cobotron wrote:My TR itch has been scratched!![]()

"To my chagrin" generally means, "to my embarrassment or distress," usually with regard to having failed or been thwarted. Just FYI.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
Not odd at all! That would be kind of neat. But, no. It doesn't look like there is a way. The way it connects under the cockpit is specific too, so you can't even flip it to face backwards.Tyberion wrote:Hey Cobotron I have what may seem an odd question, is there any way to install the cannon at the rear of Galvatron's starfighter mode so as to simulate an afterburner effect?

I think the placement is a little odd too. Not sure why they didn't put the hole on the side of his bicep.

They've had those pegs on most Generations toys since AoE. Guess they're just assuming everyone will get stands from elsewhereCobotron wrote:But! In looking, I did notice the new standard flight stand peg hole. So thanks for that.![]()
I wonder if Hasbro has any plans to ever utilize these?

I missed out on the Takara pre orders, but I'm not sure I want these instead. For now they are staying in package.

Ya. I kinda figured since Takara does the Lion's share of tooling, they put them there, and Hasbro is just like, sure, what evs!ScottyP wrote:They've had those pegs on most Generations toys since AoE. Wolfman Jake wrote:Has anyone figured out yet what the inspiration was for Hasbro's "Skullsmasher" head sculpt and paint job? The "two eyes" look is very odd, and not at all reminiscent of any of his appearance as Skullcruncher from G1, where he had a distinct visor (black or red), whether we're talking about the original toy, the cartoon, the Japanese cartoon, the Marvel comic, or other ancillary appearances (to my knowledge). Sabrblade, I'm hoping you know some obscure corner of the Transformers multiverse that Hasbro is trying to reference? This is an instance where the paint decos between Hasbro and Takara look so similar as to it not being worthwhile to import the Takara version, except that the Hasbro version has such a weird face.
