And yet, that team still gave us Skybyte.

Wait, forget it, I just remembered how Skybyte was not designed under John Warden but was actually a Takara designed mold.

It just seems to me that Hasbro not only made this mold for Octane, but for Nemesis Prime. It just works too well. It would be great to finally break the habit of Nemesis Primes and Scourges being Takara figures.

I can tell you are a young one. Of course it works well since RID Scourge (who you call Nemesis Prime), is a redeco of Lazer Prime, the toy who this mold is based on.

Transformers Robots In Disguise Scourge (Black Convoy) Gallery

So, Hasbro made him in mind to be the original toy. That original toy, also happens to have a redeco, but the main hommage with this mold is G2 Lazer Prime:

I know that. My point is what it would almost seem like a waste for it to not get redecoed into what the original toy got redecoed into. I can totally see Hasbro releasing a Nemesis/Scourge with a more traditional Nemesis Prime color-scheme, while Takara releases one with more toy-accurate colors, and an Optimus in more G2 toy accurate colors as well.

Where did this stinkin Tidal-Wave rumor come from?! :BANG_HEAD: I thought we were still missing a con for Broadside's wave. People were saying that they would probably rerelease Galvatron for that wave. I think if they replaced him with Scourge it would OH so sweet. ;;)

Nemesis Prime seems like a more obvious choice to me that Tidal Wave. Just sayin.

The Tidal Wave rumour came from the same place all the other rumours came from - the podcasts, which have correctly predicted every single release in the line so far. It's the single reason people started thinking the recently leaked Broadside had a Tidal Wave head.

Wait a sec, can we give links? There has been a lot of speculation but here are the only facts we have about the 2017 voyagers:

TR 2017 Voyager wave 1: Optimus Prime and Megatron
TR 2017 Voyager wave 2: Broadside and previously released toy
TR 2017 Voyager wave 3: Octane and Blitzwing

We have no clue what Wave 4 is. Tidal Wave is not a single release, he is part of a boxset, this was confirmed by multiple sources.

Although getting 3 of the same Voyager Optimus mold in one year would be rough, but there is precedence...

Well the rumours do say Vector Prime as an Alpha Trion retool, and I don't remember seeing him as part of a boxset in said rumours... so I'm gonna go with him being 2017 Wave 4. I don't think there's been 2 new voyagers in the last wave of a line before, has there?

2017 Wave 4. Hence overall TR Wave 6. There's no confirmation it won't go past 6 waves, but I doubt it will.

Its all in flux, anything could happen. This year we have 7 mainline voyager toys so thats diferent from last year.

Also, Silly does bring a good point, why didnt Hasbro do a more toy accurate deco for Optimus. Looking at the mold, they really give all the details to imitate the toy but the colours are all different:

Likely to sell him much more easily to kids. Optimus is far more recognisable with his original G1 colour scheme than with a blue grill chest, black legs and... chest windows that blaze red with his name. He'd probably still sell because he's Optimus **** Prime, but it's probably easier to sell even more of them if he looks more like what people recognise as Optimus.

My mom picked up Titans Return Wheelie for me at Walmart today! I hate Wheelie as a character (I mean, who doesn't?), but this figure is a lot of fun! I love how the Titanmasters can sit in the cockpit of his vehicle mode! Though, like everybody else's Wheelie, the vehicle mode on mine doesn't peg together very well. I still like this figure regardless! :D

Me too, I just added Soundwave to my POL. Hurry it up Comps!

This is my first time ordering with BBTS. Can anyone tell me how the shipping charges work? I think I had to select a shipping method for Computron, and I had to pay for shipping on Soundwave today. When Comps comes in, do they re-figure the combined shipping?

Sorry, no one answered your question. I do almost all of my online TF purchases through BBTS and do the POL for all of my shipments. Generally, there will be a larger up front shipping charge, but each additional order added to the POL will have much smaller charges. I once had a smaller item (like a Legends fig) not add any shipping, and I think Computron added $0.25 to this POL. I think it depends on what is already a part of the POL and what overall shipping box is needed. I have a huge order coming early next week, should be one giant box (their largest) and total shipping will be less than $20.

But I also live, literally, over the river from them. I get the shipment next day, even on the slowest shipping option.

I can't wait to get the next batch of TR figs. I have hardly put the wave 1 deluxes down...

He manages to be fine in IDW, at least.

In the cartoon he could stand to go away and take a vacation. For the whole season. Preferably starting before he first appeared in the movie.

So I was messing around with my wave 1 deluxes and noticed how much poorer in quality my Scourge is. Like everyone else, the head is a bobblehead, but I was able to fix that for the most part with some tissue. The 2 things that bother me are the wrists being very loose and the titan master's arms also loose. Do any of you have this issue, and are there any fixes? I know of the floor/nail polish on ball joints, but I don't know if that's possible on the wrists and titan master.

I suppose if you feel brave you can unscrew Scourge take the inner part of his neck out and zap it with a hair dryer or hot water give the now malleable plastic a gentle squeeze then plunge it in cold water to set it tighter.

or the reverse if the neck on a toy is to tight (like Sentinel Prime).

I'd think carefully before trying that though likely easier to stick a bit of extra plastic in the gap instead.
-----

As for Optimus yes that mould does have lots of Optimus cues on it such as on the legs, chest & upper arms - but the chest is quite capable of also standing in for Universe Octane/Tankor and some of those other parts might get painted to disguise them or remoulded.

(or not) but the red chest part does remind me a little of Cybertron Optimus too - which might be intentional what with it having a flight mode.

---------

Here is a question are well missing some official Pictures - I don't seem to have Voyager Megatron's white backed pics for example ?

----------

Anyway I'm looking forward to them - I hope the titanmaster is a good complement to the toy too... though I do wonder if they maybe should do Roller instead of Optimus Prime. I also wonder if they might consider Primal Prime from Ape Face too.

I just looked at Scourge, and this would be a very difficult proposition. There are no exposed screw holes. (Nice work Has/Tak!) There might be one under the chest sticker, but it doesn't feel like it. The only screw holes I see are behind the pinned hinges for the back wings. So, to disassemble the chest it would require unpinning the wings first to get to the screws holding it together.

This also makes it impossible to tighten the chest together to see if that solves loose head syndrome. I guess I'll just stick with some small pieces of paper or card stock. Seems to work well enough....

I agree that the paper in the head socket works well enough. It's the wrists that bother me the most. There's nothing exposed so don't think I can get any floor/nail polish in there. There nothing to take apart there either.

The hands pop out. You can put some nail polish or some tape on the wrist joints. That's what I did.

or the reverse if the neck on a toy is to tight (like Sentinel Prime).

I'd think carefully before trying that though likely easier to stick a bit of extra plastic in the gap instead.

I see what you mean. If the wrists are closed up into the forearm, there is a little gap where I can see the pin. Perhaps, as I have seen some mention, if a syringe is used, some floor polish can be squirted in there.

Of course, not everyone has a syringe laying around...

Scourge's wrists aren't pinned. You can pop them right out.
