Botcon Scorponok.... Who?
Is that the Energon repaint you're talking about?

If yes, the small one can be "Marvel Comics" Scorponok while the ER is the Toon one.

There's only one BotCon Scorpy isn't there? Or did they release one as part of the pre beast wars story set?

There is only one BotCon Scorponok, yes.

There was also a TFSS Scorponok redecoed from Scamper, but that wasn't a BotCon toy.

ER Scorponok is actually modeled more after the one seen in the Sunbow animated "The Rebirth", rather than the Japanese Headmasters series. Though the Deluxe Robot head is modeled after the Japanese Scorponok, and the tiny Titan Master Lord Zarak, which is kind of a cool amalgamation.

I was talking in general. I know there was at least one other use as an homage to Black Zarak (called something else, as it was a general release toy), not sure if there was any others, also the Takara version may have been colored different...??

You know what's funny?

Titan class Scorponok is the second Titan to have coincidentally, unintentionally, taken a concept for a Titan first introduced in Beast Wars: Uprising and put it into toy form.

The first was Titan class Trypticon, having had its battle station mode replaced with a spaceship mode that still maintained Trypticon's traditional design. While Aligned Trypticon was the first version of the character to get turned into the Nemesis, that version of him was designed to have his ship mode actually resemble the Nemesis, while in BWU, the design of Trypticon's ship mode still looked like Trypticon himself; it just bore the name of "Dinosaur" instead of "Nemesis", in honor of the Predacon ship from Beast Wars Neo.

And as for Scorponok, it was Beast Wars: Uprising that first gave him the same "Double-Headmaster" configuration as Fort Max, which his Titan toy now also has. Though, with BWU having an unorthodox policy of trying to avoid name repetition (with Megatron and Rampage being the exceptions, since Predacon Megatron named himself after the ancient Decepticon leader, while Rampage just doesn't care that he's using the same name as the ancient Decepticon tiger), the name "Scorponok" went to the BW Predacon so G1 Scorponok instead used his Japanese name "MegaZarak", and was a lifeless superweapon controlled by the middle-sized head robot, a Decepticon saboteur named "Zarak", while the little Headmaster was a Nebulon named Fausto Borx, who binary-bonded with Zarak to also jointly control MegaZarak with him. Though, at some later point, Borx was replaced as Zarak's binary-bonded Headmaster by a Cyberdroid named Dante (as well as another Cyberdroid named Caliburn, who became Zarak's new Powermaster, augmenting his power even further).

In a way, Hasbro inadvertently made toys of the BWU versions of Trypticon and Scorponok MegaZarak a reality.

Zarak/Scorponok blows up Mars just to power that body in headmasters. He does more planet destroying than most other decepticons and that is on his lazy days.

While we're at it, the original Energon Scorponok also had two very different decos between Hasbro Scorponok and Takara Megazarak.

Yeah, it feels like quite a big tease. Most of the original Micromaster teams aren't complete, and we only got TWO combining teams so far, and neither of them are complete either. I hope one of the Galactic Odyssey sets is just a whole bunch of Micromasters, even if they are mostly repaints. I want at the very least to get completion on the teams they've started with Siege and Earthrise.

There was a Target set last year that was repaints of the released Micromasters meant to complete some of the teams.

Except it didn't. Of the 10 micromasters, I think only 2 were actually part of 4 member teams where we had already gotten 2 members. i think 8 of them were starts of new teams, Japanese characters, or Ironworks designed to go with the base

If they used the Japanese team it was either because they lost the name, or didn't want confusion with the bases.
Not in the case of Road Police, who was a Japanese-original Micromaster from 1992 with no Hasbro counterpart until 2004. And even then, the Siege Micromaster 10-pack kept him as Road Police.

Oh yeah, I had that Universe Protectobots set. I never really opened the Siege Micromaster set so I might have to bust it out. That's one of the least annoying car Micromasters.

So, has anyone else received an email from Amazon about the Paradron Medics arriving this Friday instead of freaking December 3rd? This is getting ridiculous, like why even bother with a date then send it two months early?

I too just now received an email saying the new delivery estimate for mine is Friday, October 9, 2020 - Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

So, not this coming Friday but the next.

I too just now received an email saying the new delivery estimate for mine is Friday, October 9, 2020 - Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

So, not this coming Friday but the next.

Lol, as I'm reading your reply I get another email from Amazon saying Fasttrack will also be here Friday, October 2nd, and not November 4th. I mean, I guess I should be glad Amazon emailed before charging unlike Pulse and Target so I can prepare :BANG_HEAD:

Yeah I just got an email from Amazon saying my fast track is expected to arrive this Friday October 2nd, crazy since I just got Airwave from Target last week.

I still have a fast track on pre-order with target, just decided to go with Amazon also because they had a cheaper price and was waiting to see which one would ship first

I'll be quite happily surprised if Fasttrack does come come considering my drone still hasn't shown up 8 days after shipping from Hasbro in PA

Free shipping from Pulse is never consistent, and their estimate is always a day off since FedEx hands off to the local Post Office for the last leg of the delivery. At least that has been my experience.

Between Amazon doing this and Pulse shipping Hubcap and Centurion early I am starting to think that release dates are not actually related to anything anymore...

Nothing about ironhide and Prowl, though...
