It's taking a pic of something and making it into your own. Much in the same way a kitbasher can take a toy and make it into something unique and new. Us digital artist can take either a pic of a toy or just a cartoon and recolor it and add parts and all kinds of stuff. Most of this stuff is very convincing and that's why you should be skeptical of the stuff you find on the internet. Here's an example of one I've done.

Oh, thanks. I'm glad it isn't the same as kitbashing. I never thought of taking a picture of something and then changing its color, rather than changing the object itself.
I'm glad because I had come up with my own event idea like this, except it's a kitbashing event instead of a digibashing one.
