[Thundercracker Prime]

I looked up. Starscream and Megatron were fighting again. Suddenly, a burst of plasma nearly took my head off.

"Starscream," I yelled, activating my Null ray. "Watch it!"

"Sorry. Agh!"

A purple laser beam struck Starscream, killing him instantly. As he fell, Megatron charged his fusion cannon for another assault. Not on Starscream though. On me.

I dodged the blast. What was Megatron doing? I was one of his most loyal servants! I jumped and converted into my F-15 Eagle altmode. Shooting at Megatron to distract him, I flew out the window. Looking back, I wish I had actually tried to hit him. If I had known what was to come, I definitely would have turned back and shoved his fusion cannon down his throat and pulled his trigger. But I didn't.

I flew to Autobase and transformed. Bravely - was it bravery or stupidity? - I walked right up to Optimus Prime and said:

"Bah weep graagh na wheep ni ni bong. My name is Thundercracker, and I come in peace. I wish to join the Autobots. My former leader, Megatron, has gone insane and destroyed my friend Starscream, before turning on me. I managed to escape, but I fear for my friends. Therefore I wish to join you in your war on Megatron. Will you accept my allegiance?"

Optimus Prime paused for a moment, then uttered a single word.

"Yes."
