No sure I care too much for the cab design, but over all it still looks awesome. If this is legit, I'm excited!

I really hope this figure has the Powermaster component and the cab can transform. I hate when updates to figures take out the gimmicks that made them great.

The more I look at that cab the more I see that's been retooled.
The wheel arches are curved, rather than hexagonal, the grille has 3 columns of vents vs. magnus' 2 columns.
I'm guessing it'll have been overhauled to integrate Hi-Q as a driver in vehicle mode, or possibly to allow him to attach into the front grille. What if he ends up being a headmaster?
The most extensive retooling seems to be in the legs though, it looks like pretty much the entire trailer folds up to create those bad boys.
I'm super excited about this. I have fond memories of my childhood powermaster prime. My parents bought him for me while I was in hospital after taking a pretty bad fall. He was really well loved. I've always regretted getting rid of him, especially considering the creepy story that goes along with that one, which I told over in the weirdest collecting stories thread.
I'm super hyped for this line.
A Fort Max, PMOP, Potential Astrotrain, Galvatron, Hardhead, Skull cruncher, a rumor of targetmaster Scourge and Blurr, not to mention heads for Nightbeat, Siren, et al. I know a few people are less than impressed with Sentinel, but I'm even excited for him.

Three things:
1: The abominus was leaked on 4chan, not weibo.
2: Just what are these crucial details that prove him fake?
3: Not to be rude, but I would suggest improving your grammar. It'll help people take you more seriously.
As for my opinions on all the leaks (I've been in Florida, so I haven't been on wifi that much), I love them. Fort Max looks awesome, an I've always loved the CW Magnus mold, so PM Prime is welcome. Plus, that means we get a leader Optimus to stand up to Leader Megs.
1. Abominus also had weibo stamps all over him, and the first place I saw these photos before here was transformers general on 4chan.
2. There's not any really conclusive ones, we don't know what a lot of the information on it means, because we're not used to seeing internal hasbro images. Grainy photo, squished proportions of the image, WJ88 pointed out that the worldwide unit numbers are improbably low, but it was generally agreed that the "premium G1 deco with labels" meant it'd likely be an SDCC exclusive version rather than the general retail issue.
3. That really did come off as kind of rude anyway.

Ok I'm interested. Mainly cos original PM Optimus Prime is the only G1 figure I still own from my original childhood collection (happy birthday memories with that one) and I been wanting to see what they could do with an update.

(my G1 PM Prime trying his best to be non-bricky behind the more agile Evasion movie Prime. Also they seem to have adopted a Ravage, I don't actually remember putting him there but hey)

I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!

Maybe not, I have the same issue. I can place the us in his hands just fine, but as soon as a mouse in the room farts, the flop open. Extremely weak hinge joints.

I really liked the Magnus mold. And I like Prime. I will probably be getting two of these.
I have been into transformers since 1984.
While I love G1 I also love new innovations and takes on the characters.
I prefer official Hasbro releases of stuff for the most part
I'm not a huge fan of Japanese original Transformers media or designs.
It's easier for me to say which are my LEAST favorite toy lines: Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise.
TFCon List: Classics Skywarp, General Optimus, BW Airrazor, Transmetal Tarantulus, Alternity Prime, Fire Convoy

Not bad for a retool, I must admit. Robot and vehicle modes don't look half bad, and the base mode is decent.

Just curious... I remember when I purchased the TRU 20th anniversary PM Prime with Apex Armor (aka God Ginrai), I thought Hasbro had officially renamed Hi-Q as Ginrai, to match Takara, although the bio & personality of Hi-Q remained intact, the name was just changed? Additionally in Dreamwaves MTMTE sourcebook the character bio was named Ginrai. The character has not technically appeared in any comics since Marvel, but I'd surmise the character will be named Ginrai when the toy does eventually get released.

It is snug. Fits pretty well but its when I bend those elbow ratchets that it falls. If I recall though, Cobotron has the takara version, it may be that it holds the gun better. Or it could be that my specific version is a bit faulty there. In the end, it is a very iffy way to hold weapons and it could be improved on.

Quoting the news post: "This version of the character no longer has a "Powermaster" engine, but instead continues the trend of Titans Return by having a head that transforms. As with Galvatron and Blaster, a "helmet" fits over the standard sized head."
I see no reason why Hi-Q can't still be a driver, but the powermaster gimmick seems to have been gutted

I also have the Hasbrah version. Much like Scotty I can shake UM and the main gun holds fine. Must be YMMV thing. I do find the turducken gavel gun is a little squirrely though. But it's been banished to the box of misfit accesorries anyway.william-james88 wrote:carytheone wrote:william-james88 wrote:Cobotron wrote:I'm with Scotty here. Okay, these quotes need to be taken out of context.

But, yeah, I'll add to this that once the gun is wedged in the palm of my UM, with that bottom ledge creating a friction fit in the hand, it's pretty solid. Now, over time, I can see this loosening up. So, maybe you slid in and out of the palm too many times?

It looks like they may have:

Look at the two hinges in the middle of the trailer's roof. In front of each one is a small rectangular hole that looks like it could accommodate the handles of each black gun. This would make sense, since you could then mount them in their "proper" positions on the roof.
However, if this guy transforms the way I think he does, those holes are directly underneath Prime's fists, so the bottom of the handles probably go into them. If it's decently tight, you'd get a good grip no matter what the fingers do.
