I normally don't come online with real life problems but I felt the need to inform everyone of what is going on with me right now.
I posted this in the staff forums so they have a “heads up” on what is going on right now.
It started about 4 years ago when I noticed numbness and pain in my right wrist.. I also would have pain on my elbow and my pinky and ring finger would numb up.. Lately it has been worse and I finally broke down and decided to do something about it.
I went to an orthopedic doctor, got his assessment then went to a hand specialist for a second opinion.
The neurological tests were run and the results are..
carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists, 20% in left and 65% in right.
carpal tunnel syndrome
ulnar nerve damage in both elbows, the right is a alot worse that the left. ulnar nerve damage
I am using a brace on my right wrist when it hurts too badly.
After seeing the second doctor I have decided and set the date for my surgery on December 20th.
Let me re-assure that this will in no way affect my job here.
I may type a bit slower with my left hand but I can still function.
The only worry I will have is the large scar that will be on the back of my right elbow..
After about 8 weeks I will be able to return to 100% normalcy in my actions.

Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Good luck with the surgery, and don't mind a scare, I mean if it helps you a scare is a little price to pay rather then losing the functions you need.
I hope you will get better soon and get throe the surgery with out problems.

I wish you well with the surgery, CB. I hope that you'll make a swift and full recovery.
In the meantime, if there is anything we can do to help, just let us know.

I'm sure this was nobody's main concern here. The main concern is that you get back on top of your health. Good luck!

Look at it this way...
When people ask you about your scar, you can respond thusly:
"Ninjas...They're everywhere...
I hate them."
Everyone will understand and what's more, they'll respect your quest for vengence and not bother you about the scar again.

You cannot be serious?
No offense, we're grateful for what you do here, and we appreciate that you take it seriously and with a mature head on your shoulders, but let's face one fact:
This is an internet gig and your health is far more important.
You do what you need to do, get better, take care of yourself first and foremost, then when you're ready...come on back. We'll keep a seat open for you.
I'll keep you and your family in my prayers, Bishop.

Thanks for your concern.
And I do realize that this is a net gig that I perform for Ryan and the site.
I will be able to perform, just with my left hand at first.
The surgery will simply "slow me down"..
Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

Yes do get well soon. I know what you're feeling as I too have some slight Carpal tunnel in both my wrists that comes and goes. so it must be less than what you have. Good luck with the surgery and stay healthy

Good luck with the surgery man.
You can say that you got the scar during a lightsaber battle with your former master.

Get better,look after you..........
You're a hell of a character. Get better. Optimus morals are
strong. Ditch the trailer and go for a solo ride. Something
of interest....laser acupuncture. I've been hurt from sport
injury. This has saved me from a lot of medspainkillers.
So get better,friends are friends.grim. There's a magnus or a rhinenox somewhere.

Re: Surgery...
Damn...
That's bad news man, I am afraid i might have the same problems as you but could it? At times man, my Left hand's wrist to about halfway my forearm has pain, sometimes even coming without doing anything.
Any medic guys around here might know what It might be? Coz I've just read the bit about CTS and it I can't have CTS because my side of my forearm hurts, not the fingers plus i do not feel numbness. BTW the pain had lasted about more than 3 days ago...
Anyways, Cyber Bishop, may God be with you and take care and get well soon.
