Does anyone order there comics from marvel.com?
My comic shop i go to is closing and the only other shop is far away and i am not driving miles and miles to get comic books. I was thinking about subscribing to marvel.com's mail offer where they mail you your comic you want monthly, My only question is when you get them in the mail, Are they packed safe or do they come all crushed and ruined? If anyone does this please let me know.

I only have experience from ordering subscriptions from Marvel before the Internet became a household thing. If you're not worried about condition of your comics, go ahead. But if you are, the store's your only bet. Things might have changed since, but back then, they were always mailed with a crease down the vertical middle.

Issue 2: Home Sweet Home Invasion also for sale.
Back issue 3: Technophobia coming soon. And you can help!

If you're looking for online retailers, midtowncomics.com has been good to me. I also heard good things about dcbservice.com.

For me personally I just wait untill they put the entire store line in graphic novel form and pick it up that way. I have found it is much easier than trying to order from marvel because things can happen with the mail like it might get sent to the wrong address depending on if you live in house or apartment.

Yeah, but you're not addicted like the rest of us.

If it's price you're concerned about, then subscriptions are the way to go. Consider $20 for a whole year of comics, compared to paying over $36 for the individual issues (plus having to hunt them all down and hoping they don't sell out before you can get to them) or ~$40 for two six-issues TPBs.

While they do come mailed in the previously mentioned plastic and cardboard, that is by no means a guarantee that they will be in good condition.
Before prices skyrocketed and comic stories stretched to 2 6 part stories a year, I was getting about 5 different marvel comics a month. Sometimes they would come a month late or just get lost in the mail. Or they would come half opened and ruined. Marvel pretended to care and might give you a new replacement issue, except for the fact it is only last months issue and if they even mail it, you are lucky.
I am not saying this is unique to marvel or badmouthing them. I am just telling about the experiences I had when I dealt with them for 5 years.
