How much does it cost to break a contract with a cell phone company? We use AT&T and lost signal 3 days going on 4 days ago. We called today and they told us that they had no reports of outages. No one in my town who uses AT&T has signal so it is not just me. I went to the next town where signal is spotty and told a friend how they could not reach me right now since I did not have signal. She said she did not either and when she called they told her she just needed new phones. So our cell phone company is not even going to try and do anything about it even though everyone in our area has no signal. I am not going to pay 120 a month for phones I can't even use so I will just break the contract. Do you know how much that will cost?

$175 per line. Although they did start an amended policy on May 25 where the termination fee drops by five dollars for each month of the contract you finish.

Yeah, it aint cheap to break contract, that's how the cell service companies keep you hooked and/or rape your pocketbook.

If EVERYONE in your area is having trouble, organize a class action suit. You won't get any money from it, but it would get you out of the contract.

A contract is a two way street. You agreed to pay for service for a set time. If they fail to provide service, that should void the contract.

Well I have good news. Enough people must have called and when they started up the it is your phone not us business the callers said no way everyone is out just like I did. On day 4 I got signal back :grin:
