I have had two long term jobs, both ended on really sour notes. The first my hours kept getting cut to the point where I'd only work one day a week and couldn't afford to pay for gas to get there. I was being belittled constantly by the manager and assistant manager. It got to the point where it just wasn't worth it anymore. I didn't give a two weeks notice, I just called and said I quit.

The second job is kind of confusing. I live in a small town and my ex best friend screwed the gas station over big time. The assistant manager at the store was a dramaqueen and constantly took it out on me because I was still friends with the person at the time. I hate small town bullshit and drama. I did everything that was asked of me. I worked third shift, which was usually 10PM-6AM. Around 4AM or 5AM the manager would come in. The manager loved my work and did nothing but praise my cleaning and stocking. She ended up breaking her ankle and was on medical leave for a few months. In those few months a new manager was placed in our store to work in her place until Angie(the regular manager) got healthy. Well, instead of coming in at 4 or 5AM like Angie would, she'd make the assistant manager come in, even though Angie warned Esther(replacement manager) that nothing good would come out of Nita(assistant) and I working together. In my opinion my work did not change from the time Angie worked and had said my work was good. Nita was rip into my work every morning claiming I didn't do anything. There was one time where she threw coffee grounds on the floor from the coffee pots and then told Esther that it had been there when she left the night before and it was there when she came in in the morning. Which is bullshit because I had mopped the floors three times that night because it was winter and people kept tracking mud and snow in. I witnessed her throwing them on the ground, but of course Esther believed Nita over me since Nita was the assistant manager. Esther started giving me written warnings. A coworker of mine came in one night to get some beer and stayed while I worked and was so confused why Nita claimed I didn't work. The rest of the staff ended up on my side until it came down to where their jobs might be in danger. After being written up multiple times for bogus things, I couldn't take it anymore and went into the office after being handed another write up for "not cleaning the floors" and attempted to calmly ask Nita why her hatred of my friend was taken out on me. She responded with "I don't do that, you are just terrible at your job". I pulled out my cell phone and started dialing Angie's number to basically throw it in Nita's face that Angie thought I was the hardest working person in the store and Nita grabbed my phone and threw it in the trash. At that point I was so frustrated I ended up in a shouting match and then preceded to clock out and tell her to "**** off, I quit".

Ok, so now time for my question. When I'm filling out applications for work, should I even include the jobs in my past employment? I really don't know what to do really. If I don't put them down I have no experience. I have been jobless since June, this is getting so old. With the job market as terrible it is, I need as much help as I can get!

Mention the jobs, but specifically put down the manager that liked you down as a reference, if at all. I always leave "references available on request" on my CV, makes it look like they're there even if they aren't.

or you could say you were manager of a circut city, since their all closed now, no references to check
