I picked up a spare Air Raid, so I've been thinking about turning him into a Seeker-type bot. The first step has been to separate the air intakes from the cockpit during transformation so that they stay on his shoulders.

I've lowered the cockpit kibble so you can see this clearer:



Another shot from the side so you can see the intakes in profile and where I've patched up the gaps with Milliput:



The alt mode appears more or less the same.



I haven't decided which character to base the colour scheme on yet, but I like the idea of using Skydive's head. Whilst he doesn't have the standard Seeker look, he looks pretty evil. And the head blends in nicely to the alt mode.

Weapons aren't final either (borrowed from a repainted Classics Starscream), but I'll keep Air Raid's arms as they have the ports to give him that Seeker look.

Thoughts in general or about which character he could be? Megaplex comes to mind? All feedback is welcome!

Great idea! I do love some obscure characters.

A few bits of advice: The way the nosecone just hangs off the back looks a bit weird, you might want to consider adding something to hide the gap. Also, it might be a good idea to use a panel line scriber or something similar to add some detail to the Milliput areas so he doesn't have 2 conspicuous flat areas. Be sure to give it a good wet sand too, so it looks nice and smooth once the paint's on.
