Hi guys !!!

well it,s official ... i had a major breakthrough tonight !!! i,m posting my first picture of my progress of mp megatron that will defenitly transform into a gun while retaining anime quality and look... also will be scaled after mastepiece optimus prime.... now the only question that i have for all of you , is what type of gun should it be ? after seeing this image can you give me some input ?

hope you like what you see ... the robot mode pictures will be shown later....when i have good progress on that front...

Wow just Wow. Any chance of robot mode pics? How about model after a Glock? also what is the ballpark price for this guy? is it around Masterpiece magnus range?

hi !!

well for the robot pics i,m waiting to finish the legs then i,ll be able to show where it,s going .... as for the price range , i have no idea , but i can tell you it,s very ,very complex... had a couple of headeaches with this one.... but it,s comming allong great... the only bugger for now is the gun mode.... what type of gun....

and there might be a suprise with this mp megatron... i cant tell for now but it involves a loved caracter (small with wings

) that might make a piece or not on this mp megatron....

If the legs/gun grip can be slid forward about a inch you could make it look similiar to say a Desert Eagle.

The original Megs was a Walther wasn't it?? Surely they've made a bigger gun by now?

Just had a quick Google browse and came up with a few possibilities from this airgun website

There's the Red Hawk, which has a really futuristic design, and is pretty chunky...

There's the CP99 with laser sight (the CP99 itself is probably too compact, but the sight adds some handy bulk)...

And my personal favourite, the Night Hawk - even has a built-in fusion cannon...

Or from the Walther website, how about the Sport Pistol SSP?

well... G1 Megatron didn't actually a full-scale alt mode, did he? I mean, my hands didn't fit on the handle.

Maybe you just had very small hands. :wink:

I'm no gun expert, but it feels like a pretty natural grip when I hold him...
Also, one of my parents (can't remember which) has a replica P-38 air pistol, and I'm sure they're pretty much the same size.

thanks for the input guys especially ramrider ... thoses gun models will defenitly help me sort out the exact type of gun meg will be... but my first priority is to keep the g1 anime aspect of him exact as possible... that,s why i,m not sure a p-38 would be advisable since the gun would make megatron bulky and not interesting to see....

Don't worry too much about the gun scale, megs scale was flexible anyway. If he was a walther p38 then he must have "grown" to a size where starscream etc could use him. Its looking great.

I think you have to use the classic model of Megatron, but with a little diferences to improve the transformation...

no, I mean the gun was too small for my hand. my baby finger was under the handle. there was nowhere for it to hold on to.

I think that because of the kibble that is on megs in robot mode a P-38 is really the only choice. one example of that is the barrel on his back, I'm not a gun expert but I can think of any modern guns that have a similar barrel.
