First Kitbash...Cybertron Rhinox...1971 Plymouth 'Cuda

Postby reece » Fri Apr 21, 2006 7:51 pm

Hello All :D .

This is a gift from my cousin to my son. It is my cousin's first official transformer kitbash. I wanted to share it with you for all to enjoy as much as we do. Please give feedback and let him know how he is doing. He is not a member as of yet because of slow internet connection so it might be a little bit before a reply back is made. Thanks, reece.

 Damned nice, and I also never expected to see that head on a Rhinox kitbash. And yet it works! Nice job, he could have used a bit more yellow though, but that's nitpicking. :)

wow, just realized where that head is from! At first glance I just assumed it was actually a Rhinox head. Great choice.

Awesome. And the green color was a dead giveaway to this idea too. Hadn't even thought of it.

Good choice on the Megabot head.

And little details changed makes it go a long way.

Easy bash but effective.

I like it.

I like it, but it's a shame that gun doesn't store in vehicle mode.

Hi' :) I am reece's cousin and I just wanted to thank y'al for the replies b/c I appreciate all apraisals and cretiques. I hope you all liked my first time kitbash - and I hope to have more to come in the future. Well anyhow, let me tell you about the little things I did that I was unable to say when this was posted. First, the hemi-gatlin gun is actually somewhat functional - it spins and also has recoil action but unfortunately it was impossible for me to make it where it can fit in vehicle mode - well at least it's G1 style b/c they didn't fit either. Also, I made him a neck b/c the head would not work with a male end - and now the head is fully rotatable. About the parts, the front roll pan is actually Downshift's bumper that I turned around and shaped it to resemble a hemicuda' roll pan. The head lamps are actually fake diamond buttons from the crafts department that I modified to look like headlight pairs. The rest of his add-ons came from modifying old car model parts around the house. Well anyways, it worked out well b/c I was actually able to close all the pieces together without having any gaps at all. At the end I thought all of the chrome gave it a little bling feeling and with the all the gaps closed it really looks like it was made that way. Buy the way, I really enjoyed doing this bash!
