The wrist cylinders on my 20th Anniversary DVD edition Optimus Prime have become a bit floppy . Will a light coat or two of clear nail polish tighten them up?

I would guess yes. However, since I got my DVD Prime before getting big into TFs again and learning the super-glue/nail polish trick, I used a different approach. I took a sharp pair of cutting pliers and bit down on the male portions of the cylinders ever so lightly, just enough to leave indentations. This causes the material around the indentation to rise up slightly, and give a nice interference fit in the female half. Result: nice tight wrists. HTH.

I haven't tried, so I can't say for sure, but it should work.

Basically you are just talking about the old superglue joint mod, but with nail polish.
