G.I. Joe's Wild Bill would have been the obvious choice for this project. But, for some reason, seeing the driver inside the mini-copter mode made me always think of Bludd inside one of the COBRA flight pods. I'm still not sure why.
There's no back photo of this one because all I did was paint the head, boots, and gloves. The eyepatch is a dab of epoxy to give it relief on the face. I learned another hard lesson here, as I thought I'd found a simpler way of doing fine lines using a Sharpie for the moustache and eyepatch cord. But when I sprayed on the dullcote the ink liquified and ran all over. Not happy. I think the moustache made with the brush looks too thick, more like Dr. Mindbender's, but it's the best I can do.
Now for the Spinister modifications; these feet are fine for cross-country skiing, but just plain walking is out of the question, so . . .
I cut the skids, took the smallest dollhouse hinge I could find, cut it in half, and voila! Not the best mod in the world, but I think he looks slightly less goofy now.
