To fix the head not fitting in the nosecone take a large engraver (bladed ball) bit and Dremel out some of the soft rubber, then use acetone to wipe the rest of the purple plastic out from inside there so it doesn't rub. If his faces are stuck unscrew the head and sand the yellow paint off of the rod the faces spin around. Done! After all those mods I gave Blitzwing some panel lining, scuffed highlights, an additional secondary color shade, and added two back cannons made from RID Arcee guns so he had more of the Animated look with the twin barrels over his back. Now Blitzwing is a great figure and transformers perfectly into all three modes!

Voyager Generations Blitzwing with mods/fixes
Transformers Generations Voyager Blitzwing had a lot of quality control issues right out of the box, so many in fact that people started returning him. I set out to fix each issue and make him a decent figure starting with the shoulder assembly that falls apart when you move his arms. The mod is to unscrew all five screws in his back, open him up, and sand down the edges of his inner torso you see circled in red, about a quarter's thickness. Then sand down the peg posts the same width so the two halves snap back together with no gap.

Very cool man.
It's great to see that these QC issues are solvable and can lead to folks enjoying the figures in hand.
If you were making a blitzwing but in the deluxe scale, what would be a good figure to start with?

i actually had plans to make a deluxe blitzy, but i found it was out of my expertise. i was planning to use the deluxe seeker mold for the jet parts, and HFTD hailstorm/ RTS mindset for the treads.
getting rid of junk. it's a gold... well, ok, silver mine if you're a customizer.

Re: Voyager Generations Blitzwing with mods/fixes
on my blitzwing, i found all I had to do was heat the plastic on the turret, and straighten it out, and no more shoulder issues. basically his shoulders and the flaps were like this: \_/ which made them not lock in, in fact you had to angle the shoulder bits inward to set them in place, but after I fixed it, they were like |_| and lock in tightly, the top flaps even snap into place slightly

"They're playing with him... and when they're done they're going to play with me.... OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!"

Can you post a pic of what section you are talking about? I've heard this fix too, but not quite sure what section people have been talking about.

Hey, just posting so I can find this topic again later. I might try this over the weekend. Anyone have any other tips/ideas for this repair/mod?
