Generations Bumblebee

Postby Solrac333 » Fri Sep 20, 2013 4:23 pm

Here is my fully repainted and slightly modified Generations Bumblebee. Started off by filling in the mech tech holes with putty and sanding them smooth. Then cutting and repositioning some back kibble for a sleeker look. Especially removing that very unfortunate piece that made Bumblebee look like he had a cock (I don't know how someone at Hasbro would ok that). Then gave him a flat black base coat and dry brushed the metallic paint and then, white, yellow, and black and then a gloss clear coat. Also gave Bumblebee new weapons donated from old TFTM Bumblebees.

I f'ing lost it when I read this...

Nice work BTW.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I love it. And that's a creat colro schem for the robot mode, although I find myslef thinking the vehicle mode is still mising something. Maybe it's just that its so long and largely uniterupted, maybe I'm corrupted by Movie Bee, athough there aren't a lot of solid color retromodern musce out there with soldic color bodies and no detsail, even a pinstripe or a side sill mudsplash stripe or something to break it.

I do like the weapons too. But you filled in the mounting holes? I'd cry if I ddidn't have some place to store them, that;s my biggest lament with RTS Perceptor, no place to store pistols (Arm Sideswipe's) or a sniper rifle.

G1 Bumblebee had no black stripes so I'm fine with all yellow. I HATE mech tech holes. They make all figures ugly.
