At some point, I came to the realization that G2 Hero Optimus Prime would actually make for a good redeco as Onslaught (non-combining, of course). So I decided to take a crack at one.
In this case, I used a couple of photos of the unreleased Combat Hero Optimus Prime, since the base blue seemed to be the best match for Onslaught. It was then a matter of recoloring the red plastics into the appropriate olive color (or black in the case of the legs). The head is a straight paste from the G1 figure. Finally, the chest and shoulder decals were redrawn based on the original G1 Onslaught's toy, with the lower inside part of the chest window stickers done up in the body's base blue with some detailing to match the original's chest shield. To compensate for the lack of stickers containing purple, I've tinted the windshield pieces purple.
