As Skyjack walked with Terrorcharge, he could tell by his tone, the decepticon had a bit of ego, and motivation to suceed. Just like me, Skyjack thought, only hold the ego. Turning to his companion, Skyjack turned and asked him, "So... Heard anything about the war? Anything really big i should know about?"JaAm

Sonic Canyons- The Battlefield

The heat laser skimmed across his torso, melting into his chasis, even at this unfocused a shot, Rancid could feel the burn of the concentrated light. But this was nothing he couldn't handle, the shotgun shells were a different story entirely.

Wildly shot, incredibly fast and completely avoidable. He was graceful in his aerial dodge, making a beautiful flip out of the way.

He was running out of ideas, which was pretty bad when if were a vault of limitless knowledge like himself. He needed to do something completely drastic, he couldn't end the fight, but he could survive this round and re-equip, if he was allowed.

He looked to his daggers, they were special to him. He had made them himself, all of specific design, each one with an adjustable power setting.

And then it hit him.

The daggers were all adjustable! They could be set to asuch a high, unstable power level he could make them explode!

Slag I'm stupid, why didn't I think of this before!

He took three daggers out and charged them all dangerously high and threw two of them at Discord. And with that he charged the Sweep aiming to stab her in her midsection.Kid_Kapatilsm

Aftershock didn't have enough energy left to avoid Rancid's shots after Discord dodged them. He could have blocked with his remaining wing, but Discord's failure to finish him quickly was a sign that the Sweep wanted to see him suffer. He refused to give his foe the pleasure. He just accepted the blows. He was pelted. It was just enough to finish him off. He was registered as dead. Of course, he was only pretending to be dead, but for the purposes of the exercise he was considered dead. It didn't matter. Aftershock's cheap armor had managed to take more damage than it was ever meant or expected to. He couldn't ask for more than he had gotten from it. Of course, most of the damage was only virtual, but he really did have a piece of metal in his back cutting off his remaining fuel for his jets. Such real damage was nearly unavoidable when fighting in a sharp, jagged place like the Sonic Canyons.

Aftershock now had time to review his performance while he waited for the others to complete the exercise. He couldn't have asked for more from his armor, but he realised he could still have done better. He realised he had messed up when he fired so many shots so rapidly at the start. Previously he had always been able to switch from one target to the next very quickly while still aiming well at each target. However, he had underestimated the swiftness of the Sweeps. That in itself was his biggest blunder: underestimating the Sweeps. They were a fighting force quite unlike anything he had seen before. He fancied the thought of one day fighting alongside them against the Autobots. Surely such would be a glorious campaign. There would be no way the Autobots could win. Aftershock was quite certain, now, that the Decepticons' future looked very bright.

Rancid doesn't realize that he'd have to finish her off, and thus finish the fight to "survive" the rest of the exercise. If he can't end the fight, then he's not going to survive by fighting her if she has anything to do with it.

Discord recognized the motions of Rancid having seen him throw a blade before. She recognized the start of the motion, and the speed. He has better reflexes, but he took the time to adjust his blades giving her more precious second. While he does have more agility his speed certainly lacked.

Luckily the flip she made earlier had put some more distance between them giving her some more reaction time for the sub sonic daggers.
Discord fired both weapons at him soon after those daggers left Rancid's fingertips with the before mentioned prepared shot barely reacting in time to pull the trigger.

The laser cuts through the air in a concentrated shot aimed for his torso, and he's about to charge right into it before she knew it. His repositioning for the charge might throw off her aim, but how much?

The shotgun blast strikes both the daggers before they get to her causing them to explode mid flight during his charge, and maybe on him. This might be a mixed blessing as the explosion from the daggers disperse the kinetic power of the shotgun rounds reducing the damage they would do. Still he was charging into the shotgun blast as well as the laser.

She recoils, and leaps backwards with her flight system augmenting her speed in reaction to that charge of his and the explosions inadvertently, using her heat laser equipped arm to shield her body further, while the frontal plates of her wings take the brunt of the blast.
While not his intention, the dagger stabbed into her wing gets blown through and stabs into her torso amidst the shrapnel of the shattered fronts of her wings, luckily for Discord it's not one set to explode. It's not a devastating wound, but it's enough to get her attention. Her wings are practically blasted down to their frames at the front.

She pulls the trigger on the shotgun again but it's out of ammo.
Hn. she thinks a bitter note to herself as she lands quite a distance away buying time..
She weighs weapons options and thinks fast now with an intelligence that rivals her oncoming knife fighter.
One of his daggers is now stabbed into her average torso armor. She has a somewhat sizable shotgun in one hand, and her heat laser.

Hardly inept at melee she knew that knife was coming and he was charging. Her sensors saw through the energon blade explosions, and saw him still coming.

She made her decision.

In the time it took him to get to her she had dropped the empty shotgun freeing up a hand.
A rudimentary knife attack with the flare of exploding daggers was sent at her. The flying daggers are defeated. Time to finish defusing the situation.

She performs a quick, efficient take down arm bar, the details of which began with her parrying his knife thrust to her outside and grasping his wrist on the forearm side taking control. A pull of the arm, and placing her leg against his legs would aid in looking to throw him off balance with his added inertia.
The palm of her laser pistol equipped hand rests on his shoulder, then pushes in a further attempt to throw him off balance, and shove him chest first to the ground.

As she'd seek to put him to the ground, she held his knife hand's wrist and kept it from twisting and thus keeping the elbow joint, at least the elbow joint of the normal bots from being able to flex as she uses the arm bar.

Should she get him down, and even if not, she pulls on his arm using it as a lever to put pressure on his shoulder joint with the aid of the palm of her laser pistol equipped hand on his shoulder joint to try and pin him down with her weight.

In a flash she places her knee on the shoulder joint in place of the laser pistol equipped palm, and then has her empty hand on the forearm and throws her other arm around the forearm pulling his arm against the joints in an effort to damage them, break them, put him in serious pain, make him drop the knife, finish him off by some fluke, or some combination of those.

She's not in the mood to make him submit and sure as pit not going to sow mercy, so she's certainly trying to break his knife hand's arm.

Being pretty much the only highly capable melee Sweep without a melee weapon, she is quite a masterful unarmed combatant, and she can improvise a bit with what weapons she gets but not so well.

Rage watched the battle wage. She fidgets holding herself back. Clawing the ground holding herself back. Part of her was amused at the quasi-gladiatorial fighting that was playing out before her. Like some big shot at the gladiator pits from her view on a cliff.
Part of her wanted to be down there doing the fighting. Wanting it ardently. Her berserk status was like a rubber band stretched to the limit, and one end was about to be let go.

Torment struggled to his feet, Looking around he spied Aftershock as he sat reviewing the exercise. The Halloween sweep then turned his optics turned to View Swiftscreech who was just a throw away from his team mate.

Both had done well and lasted surpassingly long against the newer technology of the sweeps. Torment regard Discord as she contended with Rancid. He would let them dance. For now he awaited Rage. He functioned at only 80%, and hopefully that would be enough to fire a few damaging shots at her before his systems went down.
