I have my animated Rodimus displayed with my classics because IMHO he is the closest to what Hot Rod is supposed to look like (so much better than the actual classic version). His only problem is his head is a bit off from the rest of the classic figs.

My question is this, if a 3rd party company would design and produce a new G1 style (or even classics style) head for him, would you buy it?

Who knows, maybe a 3rd party company will read this and make it happen (one reason I am posting this in this section).

The Classics version is good enough for me. It has some flaws, but I still like it. Plus, there's already a huge glut of 3rd party products either here or in the pipeline, overall I think they need to cool down a bit.

Still, I don't like Animated Roddy's head. The Arcee heads I've seen has me skeptical a Classicsesque head will look good on an Animated body; it'd have to be made before I can judge whether it'd work. But, even if it did work, I don't think I'd get it.

I'm a fan of the Classics/Henkei Rodimus mold, and he fits well with my collection. I also love the Animated Rodimus, but even with a head-swap (a la Arcee), the body doesn't fit right with Classics-styled figures.

Awesome idea: how about a deluxe-scaled, less intricate MP Rodimus?

I voted yes.

I love rodimus & i'd buy a 3rd party rodimus head for any rodimus mold or repaint.

I kinda wish some 3rd party company would create a rodimus styled robot head for the year 2005 cybertron megatron toy mold. as I did a kitbash & turned it into rodimus:

I don't think this figure makes a good Classics stand in and I'm fine with the actual Classics version...but the Animated head is pretty much garbage. If it was really cool and really inexpensive (like the Kup head) I'd consider it. Would be very low on my priority list, though.

I have and like both the Classics and Animated Rodimi but using the Ani one for Classics is just too much of a stretch for me. I understand people using Arcee since there really is no viable alternative without going the 3rd Party route (which I did with Valkyrie) but there are so many choice with Hot Rod/Rodimus! Titanium Rodimus Prime, Energon Rodimus, even Cybertron Excellion or RiDs charged up Side Burn could all work with no moding.

If some people want one, that's great. I'd just be hard pressed to see the point.
