I haven't heard any opinions on it but I'd like to know your thoughts when it arrives. What the quality feels like and that sort of thing.

From what I heard:
- The quality of the plastic isn't as good as the original
- The paint is not good and sloppy
- Parts of the armour, particularly the shoulders, do not hold in place and just fall of
- Needs a lot of work and effort to work

Re: UM City commander.
I got a KO DIA Commander set for a custom I did and the quality of the plastic seems OK, but after transforming it back and forth a few times, things do start to loosen up but it still goes together into trailer mode well enough. The main issue I've had is with the shoulders. They've never really locked into place very well on Henkei Prime (Fansproject's hasn't been too much better honestly, though they do stay on a bit better in that version). I'm probably going to stuff something in between Prime's shoulders and the pieces from the KO to get them to fit more tightly and stay put better.

Re: UM City commander.
I just received my KO Shadow Commander and here are the things I've noticed. I own the original City Commander and DIA Commander for reference.
The Good:
* The overall fit in trailer mode is near perfect. No issues whatsoever with tabs or pieces locking into place.
* The waist, feet, and chest pieces fit perfect. I was worried especially on the waist, because I'd read that some wouldn't fit at all.
The Bad:
* The plastic doesn't quite feel up to par, but overall okay. I was expecting the worst, so I'm pleasantly surprised.
* Shoulder pieces are loose, but they kinda stay in place.
* A few sloppy paint apps.
The Fugly:
* The forearm piece on the right hand keeps falling off. This is pretty frustrating, since I wanted to at least display it holding the guns or my God Sword. The left one is quite snug.
* The license plate was spun and stuck facing inwards. I forced it back to its correct position, but wound up scratching the **** out of it.
* The BFG sucks balls. It's loose, floppy, and doesn't fit correctly, so I leave it in its alt configuration.
Overall for $55 ($40 plus shipping) it's okay. Am I satisfied? I only bought it because the original Shadow Commander was running at ridiculous eBay resale prices. Now that BBTS listed a preorder for the original again, I've ordered one of those. When I get that I'll likely sell off this one.

I never thought third party manufactueres of up-grade kits would soon have KO's of their items as well. It's a bit funny if you think about it.

It is, but given the demand and limited production numbers, it makes sense. If FP can't produce enough to satisfy demand (even with the second run they did), then here come the KO's to fill the need. I'm glad they did, just so I didn't have to mess up my FP DIA Commander for my custom.

Sounds to me like you need to learn the superglue trick. There are threads on this topic.
