He's been working on an add on to make better use of the TFC 007 Rage of Hercules set and Hercules as well.





Currently includes:
* Chest shield extensions
* Shoulder connector for the crane
* Thigh extensions
* Elbow connectors
* Crane lock

It's currently a work in progress and he will be painting up the set. He's also going to do some casting for the chest shield add-on and a version 2 is coming up as well.

While these parts aren't going to do vehicle or robot mode integration all that well, they really do make all the difference to the combined mode. Too bad they're a Shapeways product.

I heard of this. The leg extantions look nice. Kinda wish someone would make shapeway duplicates of those hip joints though ... I do NOT trust TFC enbough to give the replacements a real go. I mean ... who wants to buy another Exgraver to replace one they broke?

That's Crazy Devy upgraded Predaking with some parts that add a mite to his height.

I fail to see how these extensions are needed. All they do is make the thighs fatter and silver. It's not like Herc was suffering from midget syndrome. Im not sure if the chrome is cartoon accurate, but the lack of silver anywhere else on the figure makes the silver hips an eyesore.

There are people who want Herc to stand taller. There are several options for the kits available, so you can definitly pick and choose whatever you want to buy. Since these are SW kits, you can paint them in whatever color that you want. Buy into it if you want or don't. That's your prerogative. Based on your post, you probably haven't bought any shapeways kit(s).

I really want to get these but the set is a bit costly.

Looking over the parts, it looks like the extenders are the expensive bit.

I'm assuming from the cost that they are solid pieces.
Have you looked at adding a few voids in the interior of the pieces?

If you put a honeycomb into the thick part of the extender, you could save a lot of material (and cost) without sacrificing strength.

Just a thought.
