Transformers THe Ultimate GUide
What are the chances of a newer version of this book being released, do we think? It was written by Furman I believe.

The first version had very limited information on the Energon tv show, and nothing about Cybertron, the movie or IDW's comics.

Also, the photos of the toys in the book are infamously messed up. Toys that are mistransformed, mislabeled, beat up and holding the wrong guns are commonplace.

That's because they were done by a hired photographer, not necessarily someone who knows about TransFormers and how they're "supposed" to be TransFormerd.

I quite like the fact that some (many) of the figures are mistransformed, it adds some humour to the book.

I have the first version, but no pics, from memory, I think a few of the Beasties and the G1/G2 era figures were mistransformed, nothing seriously hilarious, just legs around the wrong way and the such.
So nothing worse than what Hasbro themselves have done in brochures and catalogues of their own.

I don't have the book in front of me, but I seem to recall amost a dozen characters depicted holding the same guns - probably those from Hot Spot. On one page they mix up the toys for Bumblebee and Cliffjumper. Hot Spot had his legs extended in vehicle mode. Things like that.
