Hello fellow TransFans,
I am an independent animator who wants to give you ALL a heads up on something that I have been working on for quite some time now. Being a HUGE fan of Transformers Animated, I decided to try my hand at putting together my own fan episode titled: Insecticons Unite.
So far I have managed to put together a nice chunk of the episode in the form of animated roughs with MUCH more still to be added. This episode will feature all 3 Insecticons; Kickback, Bombshell and Shrapnel as well as Gears, Skidz and a powerbot of my own design (no name as of yet). My goal is to have this episode completed in the same style of the actual Transformers Animated series.
Due to complications I am unable to post my work in progress, but would like to invite EVERYONE to check out channel: Golduk55 on Youtube or Koy J. Campbell on Channel Frederator Raw where my video is posted, I would love to hear feedback.
Please keep in mind that this is unfinished work which is in rough pencils, there is no dialogue or music as of yet. Audio is scheduled to be added once scene sets are completed.
I will post updates as more work is completed on this project. Thank you all for your time, I hope you enjoy.

I saw your work on youtube a while ago and I think you're great. I loved your versions of the insecticons and can't wait to see a whole episode.

Thank you very much for the welcome Star_Ling, and thank you for showing an interest in my work. At the moment I am scanning more scenes to add and hope to have the NEWEST vid posted before the end of the weekend. Everything has been storyboarded so its just a matter of actually sketching out all the scenes and backgrounds, fitting them together and seeing how they flow. Once that is near done my job will be to go in and inbetween the animated scenes so the movements are more fluid and more closely resemble the CN series. My hopes are that this fan film pleases fans of Transformers and Transformers Animated as well as opens doors to a long term professional career, something I have been trying to accomplish for a very long time now..... almost too long.

No those were from an interview with either Derrick Wyatt or someone else from the animated team. It was a while ago so I can't remember where they came from.

That was Derrick Wyatt's version of how Animated Kickback would look.

I guess Campbell must have started Fanimated before those designs appeared.

That I'm not too sure about, but he does cite Derrick as an inspiration for it so guess I would have to ask him. I like Campbells designs better though.

Thank you very much for that very encouraging comment Star_ling, I had actually began sketching characters for this fan film back in May of 2008. I wanted the character designs to closely resemble their G1 counterparts. With Kickback my intention was to make him look almost exact to the original, I always loved his original design, he's just so bad ass lookin'. Bombshell would need to be the heavy guns big dude type character, while my concept for Shrapnel was to make him mentally distracted and near insane.
After seeing the Transformers Animated cartoon I felt the need to show my devotion as a fan. The original idea was to just do a quick animated short, no story just quick animated sequences kinda like a teaser. Time went by and I started to receive more and more feedback on the project, my brother gave me the final push and that is when I began to take this fan film a little more serious. After spending a weekend developing a story, I finally had some direction with the project and now Im spending every free minute I have trying to complete these sequences. The main things holding me back are time and a very old and very slow PC..... LOL.

Actually I remember when u first put it on youtube a while ago, I found the video by accident and loved it. My brother is a fan as well and really loves the kickback design. Myself I enjoy your bonmshell, especially his horn. Is it designed to be a gun barrel, if so awesome!

Keep up the good work dude. Also try showing your video to other TF sites as well, like tfw2005, I'm sure they would get a kick out of it as well.
