Was that a official croossover between the G1 nd Armada Transformers? If so who was in it?

Unicron stole transformers from other demensions and took over their minds to make them mindless slaves. Sorta like hook line and sinker and Galvatron from the marvel US run, except with mind control. So yes and no. I remember their being Galvatron, bludgeon, one of the Seekers, and Spinister was there too, but i don't think as one of unicrons slaves.

The evil minions of Unicron were Galvatron, Bludgeon, Scourge, Thunderwing, and Dirge. At least I think Scourge was one of them. It's a pretty cool story. Unfortunately the rest of the Armada comics weren't very good.

Actually, I have the complete opposite view. I liked the early Armada comics, but as time went on, the quality started to dip. It's not really a coincidence that said dip began when Simon Furman got onto it, either.

I thougt Armada (Tv or Cbooks) was decent! I thought that Energon and Cybertron made the story line weak though.

I agree for the Energon show(never read the comics, or Armada after #5), but that was probably due to really, really bad translation. I've heard Superlink is great. Cybertron should have been left on it's lonesome in it's own universe like Galaxy Force was. I thought Cybertron was the best.

But my real question is: Why Dirge? He was a coward in the show, and a pretty non-descript seeker for the most part. Did Unicron cough and grab the wrong Decepticon or something?

The story goes that Furman wanted to use him, along with Ramjet and Thrust, in the final episode of Beast Wars, but couldn't. So when he wrote this, he decided to use him here.

Ah, I guess that's kind of neat then.

I do recall reading about the alternate scene in the final episode of Beast Wars where the Maximals reactivated to coneheads to fight the Nemesis. That would have been pretty cool too.

Interesting. Were the Coneheads supposed to be in stasis on the Ark, then, or were they left in the Nemesis when it crashed?
