Profile: The chilling rumble of Dirge's engines as they approach from a distance is merely a prelude to the petrifying fear they induce in whomever is unlucky enough to hear as they pass overhead. And fear is something with which Dirge is quite familiar. He knows its all-consuming power; he understands how it can defeat even the mightiest of armies. He handles it with the same exacting proficiency that a concert pianist handles his piano's keys. Even his fellow Decepticons are put off a bit by his mournful, silent manner. Ramjet sums up everyone's feelings: "He gives me the creeps."

Abilities: In jet mode, the sound from Dirge's engines has the uncanny effect of producing spine-tingling (circuit-tingling, in the cases of other robots) fear in nearly everyone who hears it. Apparently, the engines emit a combination of frequencies that has a disorienting, fear-provoking effect on the nervous systems of all those within earshot. He also carries two air-to-air missiles and two automatic machine guns.

Weaknesses: In order to perform well as a warrior, Dirge needs to feel that he's in control of a situation. When things get out of hand, Dirge is prone to suffer from the very weapon he himself wields so effectively- fear. Dirge's usefulness evaporates under these conditions.

Fear.

It is one of the emotions that every living being, transformer or otherwise, experience. Along happiness, sadness, anger, disgust and hate, fear is something that influences someone's decisions. One thing for sure, fear is almost always a negative emotion, and no one liked being afraid.

Dirge, however, delighted in fear. The Cone-headed Seeker flew over the azure seas until the aircraft carrier came into view, his engines maximizing the fear-inducing frequencies he emitted. As he rose slowly into the air the humans underneath him, those pitiful meat-bags the Autobots held in high regard, ran for cover as he swooped down and unleashed his two missiles towards the aircraft carrier, tearing holes in the hull of the carrier.

The mission was simple. Blow up the Russian aircraft carrier, in order to increase the tension between Earth's countries. Dirge loved the humans' paranoia. They distrusted each other just because of their skin pigmentation or country of origin. In retrospect, the transformers being divided into Autobots and Decepticons doesn't seem so bad compared to the humans. As the human jets on-board the carrier took to the sky, Dirge turned tail and tried to evade the stream of missiles that streaked towards him. He might be an alien robot from outer space, but explosions still hurt. A lot.

Dirge decided to save his ammo for the destruction of the carrier. Instead, he used his fear-inducing frequencies to literally stab fear into the hearts of the humans. A F22 Raptor spun out of control and exploded against the hull of the carrier. Another lost control and fell into the ocean. Dirge's fear-aura was bringing out the humans' worst fears into life. In panic, a couple of the jets opened fire on each other, and on the aircraft carrier itself.

Dirge would've smiled had he been in robot mode. Instead, he climbed up and let loose a single missile onto the command deck, tearing the computers and any human unlucky enough to be manning the station apart. That should take care of any transmissions the humans try to send, Dirge thought.

Since there weren't going to be any witnesses anyway, Dirge transformed into robot mode, the sight terrifying the humans on board. As he landed, he opened fire with his machineguns, mowing down the human forces on-board the aircraft carrier. "Die, meatbags!" he shouted, the fear instilled by the drone of his engines disabling the humans' initiative, numbing their senses.

It took less than two hours to kill every single human on-board, and to plant the explosives that would sink the carrier. Dirge delighted in every petrified expression as he aimed a gun at a human, and he loved the terror etched into the humans' face when he stepped on them or he crushed the life out of them with his fists. As his rocket boots activated, he took to the sky and transformed into his F15 alternate mode, admiring his work as the carrier blew up in a ball of burning scarlet flame.
