Some Christian Fundamentalist claims the old transformers movie was is pro atheist. It features a giant planet eating god who has horns like the devil. Who choices the evil Megatron as his servant and uses mind control by producing him headaches. Remodel him and allows him to get revenge on others and so forth.

Nah, it's just a standard thing that really conservative, & really ignorant religious people come up with some really lame excuses for why popular stuff is evil. Also, supposedly at one time or another Harry Potter taught kids how to be real witches & warlocks & such, & Pokemon caused kids to be posessed by the devil, that is if it wasn't teaching kids about various eastern religions & reincarnation*.....

& besides that, if the original movie had so many satanic references, then it couldn't be pro-aethist, because aethists don't believe in religion in any form, good or bad.

*some people thought that pokemon represented shinto(sp?) where various animals were considered dieties & had various elemental powers, while ignoring the elemental "rock, paper, scissors" that makes the game what it is & that the "evolution" feature in the game taught reincarnation, where a creature would die of it's former self to become another, even though all the pokemon simply became older versions of the animal it represents. One of my favorite examples is the cicata(sp?) larva that "evolves" into 2 separate creatures....one being the adult form of the bug, & the other being the empty shell of the bug when it outgrows the exoskeleton.

Let's say they're right for a moment (they're not, but let's say)...they're still wrong in the long run.

Good triumphed over Evil and kept on winning. However, I'd like to see the link or video or audio file you got this info from. Otherwise, I have no reason to believe it's not just you coming up with this.

Which, you're entitled to, but you'd be wrong, by leaps and bounds.

People's individual faiths and beliefs are alright and I can respect them, but religious bigots piss me off.

And, somewhat as Autobot032 stated, the movie ended with Unicron being destroyed, so you would think it would work in these bigots' favor.

Yeah really relegious people that take it to that extent need to stay out of trans fans bussiness. Its none of theres to make relegious SPECULATIONS on a cartoon they probably havent watched. Serriously we have enought problems already and religous people who try to take down transformers makes it even worse.

I saw an old thread somewhere here, I think it was called Voltron and Transformers are evil? Kinda reminded of this thread.

Well, that's why I say away from people who are too into that kinda of stuff, extreme religion faith wordship anything, I think they're scary, some take it too far. It's cool to have your faith, that's awsome, and important, but life happens around you no matter what faith you have. You can't just blame everything on cartoons, music, or videos games, etc. for the bad choices people make.

I just ignore these "claims of anti-religion", as most of them are completely stupid and genreally contradict each other. I remeber watching some programe about a year ago of C5 about "Christian belief school". Basically a bunch of idiots preaching how Harry Potter was/is evil. And how various other programmes are evil and how Transformers is good, but then codradicted themself by saying it is also as evil as Harry Potter.

The best one of these "so-and-so is evil, I tell ye!" was one about the Thomas the Tank film about 8 year ago. Because the toy trains lips didn't move the film must have been promoting telepathy.(SP?)Google it.

Anyway just ignore these claims.

Well its not "if he was". He was created by Primacron, fact in G1. But that means nothing. Orimacron was not god. He was a little fella with a long life span. I do not recall it being mentioned anywhere in G1 that Primacron was a god.

What does that make Unciron? Just a frickin giant robot in a kids show. Dumb asses need to some research before spouting off.

On the other hand, I believe Simon Furman originally wrote him as being a deity opposite of Primus in the G1 comics, so the whole dark god thing would still apply in that sense.

But even still, it's a fantasy story about giant alien robots whose sole purpose is to sell toys.
