Fellow G1er's, nay, any fan of Transformer's that has a child of any age:
My 22 month old daughter just said robot for the first time. I was showing her my Beast Wars Optimal Optimus (after having let her play with my whole collection over the last year+) and she grabbed it and said to me, quite matter of factly mind you, ROBOT!
Guys, gals, just too cool.
Made my night.
I think we've got a future fan on our hands and I couldn't be prouder. Sometimes she's just the fun of a new Transformer fresh out of the box, the best day you've ever had, the most fun you've ever had as a kid, and a whole ton of other stuff all rolled into one- she's my angel, and I'll love her mother far beyond the end of time for introducing us.
Sorry to get all sappy but I really f'ing love my kid, and she can say ROBOT!

But as cool as that is, I can't help but think there is something wrong with this thread.

Or, if not the thread, at least, something about how it was posted.

Congrats man. I think the thread title worx.

I got my 2yr nephew into transformers. When I saw him this summer, I brought G1 Season 1 and gave him my KO Optimus Prime and some other KO figs. We would watch/play with them during the day after and before going fishing.

Now whenever his parents put him on the phone he yells, "Op-timus Pwime". It's gotta be the cutest thing ever.

You know that's just it, I felt like the torch was passing. But more than that (and more than just making me feel old) I was really wowed by the fact that I wasn't all that much older than her when TF's first came on the scene. Regardless of what she's into, if she even likes toys and comics or not, she'll at least know what's what when it comes to TF's, and she'll have me to thank. And that my friends, that is the coolness of being a parent. Where once there was Hot Rod, there is now Rodimus...or something mildly profound like that :)
