Hi everyone,
It's a while since I've posted on here, and I'm after some advice!
I've recently (an hour ago) bought myself a new car. For years I've named my cars after a Transformer, almost exclusively G1 (my current one if Cliffjumper,, normally just 'Cliff'). Perfectly normal, I'm sure you'll agree!
This is my new baby: http://www.channel4.com/4car/media/S/seat/leon/cupra/2009/03-large/09-seat-leon-cupra-fs-st.jpg
My first thought for names are Bumblebee (obviously) and Sunstreaker, but I was hoping you fine Seibertronians could suggest some others or say which one you think if the best fit?

To be honest, I don't think Bumblebee or Sunstreaker would fit. The car is too small. Before the first movie, Bumblebee would have been fine. This car is a upgrade over a VW Bug. But a Camaro? And Sunstreaker has always been some sort of exotic car. So, I suggest maybe one of the Twins from the movie? Skids is probably better.

Re: Car naming...
While normally Rodimu Prime and I tend to be similarly minded, I was drawn instantly to the fact that your new ride reminded me a lot of TFA Bumblebee. In fact, the first accessory I would add to that car (were it my own) would be to put a TFA 'Bee figure up on the Dash board dead center of the window (in 'Bees car mode).
I have thought of naming my cars in the past also but nothing ever seemed to fit and I found myself calling thems names that started with "Piece of..." or "You son of a..." more often than not anyways. Was there a G1 character named "GO,dammit!" ?:P

I did have a red, '86 Chevy Cavalier wagon about 5 years back that had a limited 3 speed manual transmission, racing suspension and an engine that I just couldn't stop tinkering with. Installed a decent stereo, put a new (quiet) exhaust system on it and left the shabby body alone. I'd pull up to the youngsters at a light with their souped up, tricked out bling machines, give them a nod, rev the engine and stood on it when the light hit green. I never named the car but the last words out the window as I was leaving them behind, either from me or whichever passenger I had with me, were usually along the lines of "Sorry about your penis!" Not the best catch phrase to have asssociated with your vehicle but it wasn't like they were going to catch up to complain about the comment. The kids needed the lesson in humility anyway.

Like I said, heart warming T-Mack.

Re: Car naming...
T-Mack--you should see the 'catastrophic castration'-mobiles out in the Hamptons. I saw a Lamborghini the other day parked outside the drugstore. Replete with botoxed blond with off-the-rack-boobs parked in the front passenger seat. I presume he was picking up his Viagra. (OOOOH, I am feeling *mean* today. Sorry if I offended anyone: apparently, as I'm discovering, it's a gift I have. My personality should be weaponized).
Flare--the best thing, I've discovered, is to have a Decepticon logo right next to the pretentious private Ivy League school sticker. I've actually gotten out of speeding tickets because of that combo. "Yes, officer, of *course* I was speeding. Speed limits are only respected by *Autobots*".
My first car (to kind of get near the topic of this thread) was the Pimpmobile. Bright red, white vinyl roof, white pinstripe. I did not willingly take possession of this car. (Thank GOD, though, my college's colors were red and white). That car died an ignominious death when squirrels ate the electrical system.
My next car was the Black Beastie, until its accident. Then it got renamed 'Vegeta', because as we all know, Saiyans get stronger after recovering from a beating.
My Old Lady Mobile that I drive now is Unferth, which means 'Discord' in Anglo-Saxon, because the car is an Accord, and Discord is much more a Decepticon name. (Oh, and I figure I was due for a pretentious obscure literary reference name).
HK, hey, it sounded better than the runner-up, Bucephalus.

Oh so you do have a Decepticon logo on your current car? I think that's so awesome! Care to share any pics of the logo on your car? Earlier this year I spotted a Decepticon in traffic and I was so delighted. At 'Hot Topic' in the Mall, they were selling the classic G1 Decals for cars. But they're not there anymore.. If I can't find a large one online to order I may have to make one myself.

Flare, let me know what size range you are looking for and whether you want purple or grey. I have a variety of faction logos, it's just a matter of remembering which box I stashed them in. Once I get them tracked down I can let you know the specifics on the sizes.
HK, I think I could get myself into lots of trouble in your neck of the woods. My smarts combined with my quick, sarcastic comments in just the right (or wrong depending on POV) situation out there could prove to be great fun for me and frustrating for the poor snobs I come across.
I'm thinking that I may be on the verge of a decision for my cuurent cars name. I'm leaning towards Kurgan from the original Highlander movie. Since I have the 'Con logo hanging from the mirror and the 'Con steering-wheeel cover it made sense to go with the bad-guy name. Considering that the car has made it through being bounced off a concrete wall, being rear-ended by a drunk in a pick-up and been in two high speed chases, I think having it's motor violently severed from it's body is the only way it's ever going to die.
Before anybody asks, No, I was not eluding the police in those chases. I was eluding bad guys who didn't appreciate my involvement in screwing up their dirty business and thought I needed to be taught a lesson.
They should have hired more experienced drivers...

That yellow car reminds me of Armada Sparkplug.
Anyone have any suggestions for a suitable TF name for a silver 05 Nissan Micra?
