Me, I started at the tail end of G1 at around 87, 88 or so . First TF I had was a Targetmaster Blurr and I never looked back. As a kid I never really got tons of toys so im really selective of what I ask for. TF seemed like an excellent deal back then since you get 2 toys in one at the very least, more if it had more modes, came with a 'master' partner, or an action figure pretender shell. It also helped that the show was probably one of the best toons during the time.
Now that i'm a working man's man i've earned the god given right of wasting my money as I please. And a large percentage of it goes to buying TF.

Best Buy is have a sale right now on the 2nd season of G1. Going to pick up a copy tomorrow. To be honest, i can't sit and watch a full episode. To cheezy. But to be honest, it makes for great back ground music while your working! open up the lap top, pop in the DVD on the TV, and work away! The music, sounds, voices... Thats what i remeber when i was a kid.
The new movies bring me back to those days. No their not perfect, but what movie is? And for that matter, TF isn't perfect either.

I second that statement.
I started watching with the first episode and continued right on till the end. I didn't get to see much of the third season since I was in first grade at the time, and by the time I got home the show was over.

Though I wasn't born till 1987 I still followed the original series when I was about that age because my uncle had a tape of the first original three episodes. When I seen the first three fell in love with it and always loved it since that time. Where I come from, its hard to find people interested in it as much as I am. Its sort of like..an obsession/hobby lol. I still collect even though that many have said I shouldn't lol. My spark still burns within. x3 Its good to see that the show is being carried on in different reincarnations of it. I hope that this next one will be more G1 reminiscent.
We are so much more then mere machines, intelligent robots who think and feel. Yet, we have fell to greed and destruction by our own causes! From this moment I stand my own ground, on my own faction to achieve true unity!

Cxplorer, welcome to the boards! Hope you enjoy your stay here.
Nicely put, SlyTF1, nicely put.

I was born during the end of G1. I actually enjoyed all of the series throughout the years (G1 being my favorite).

Re: I'm still a fan of the transformers after all those years....
I was 3 when Transformers were first introduced. I know I was into it from an early age, but don't remember much about it from back then except that I know I loved the figures I had. I've always loved the idea of Transformers, but didn't get into collecting until about 5 years ago, and I've been scouring my parents' basement for my old G1 toys ever since (specifically Ultra Magnus and Powermaster Prime)... still no luck finding them, though...
