who created Starscream?

EVeryone I know says it was Aerial or Ariel. They tell me to look it up in Transformers Wiki but I did. It didn't say a thing. I hope it wasn't Ariel since that was Elita -one.

He doesn't have a definitive origin besides being a scientist/explorer before the war happened alongside Jetfire. That's his cartoon origin. The comics he has no previous connections to anyone and he's a feared soldier.
It's best to assume every link I post is NSFW, and every post I make is just me taking the piss.

The DW comics were kinda aiming at Megatron being his ...erm dad, atleast that's what Sunstorm was going to say.

In IDW's Megatron Origins, Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp come out of nowhere to join Megatron. They seem to believe they will be fighting with him in his gladiatorial games. In War for Cybertron and its novelized prologue, he seems to have some clout: see here.

That is a question I often wondered my self. I thought though that maybe he was just like everyone else in that aspect, just another transformer created by vector sigma. Though the WFC story line makes sense how he was part of the autobot team first..because of his initial coloring. So maybe he really was an autobot, even the cartoon sorta hinted that. As for his origin as when who brought him to be online...well..I don't think that is really relevant, just more so of the story before he became a decepticon.
We are so much more then mere machines, intelligent robots who think and feel. Yet, we have fell to greed and destruction by our own causes! From this moment I stand my own ground, on my own faction to achieve true unity!

The second UK annual had him as the figurehead for the citystate of Vos. This was also the first story to feature the State Games/gladiatorial combat.
I don't think it was official canon. It did have some nice ideas.
Megatron was Tarn's gladiatorial champion.
Optimus Prime was Iacon's top athlete.
Shockwave was Tarn's miltary ruler.
Ravage and his twin, Nightstalker, were bodyguards to the Autobot Overlords for generations. This was before Sentinel Prime was featured in the comics.
If he wasn't killed in the story, I'd like to imagine Nightstalker went on to become Device Label Tigatron who from his BW incarnation, I could see in such a role.

But seriously, since the Screamer is a Seeker, I always assumed he came out of a factory (Remember, the 'Cons were originally "military hardware", after all) and was sparked by V. Sigma probably not more than a hundred years or so before he and Skyfire visited Earth.
