Is joining the Collectors Club worth it?

Is it joining the Collectors Club worth it? It seems kind of expensive for what you get.

I've often wondered this myself. My friend is a member, and he gets all of the club exclusives, but the price.....
Though I have been thinking about joining just to get the club exclusive G1 Classics for next year.

I've never actually been into the club but as you say the price is really high for what you get, it some ways if you are a really desperate person you might want to, but honestly it's really your choice.

If you really like the exclusives that they offer, and getting the Botcon packages at a discounted price, it is very much worth it. If not, then it's a waste.

I like the exclusives and am very happy with it.

Will this year's Botcon package be available on the TCC store?

I highly doubt it. It's been sold out for a while now.

Well, it was worth it for me, as my yearly subscription cost is half of what I save on 2 botcon packages for me and my GF. Also, you get their publications, discounts at the store and access to the exclusives for a little cheaper.

If not for Botocn, I probably would not be a member. With Botcon, it is a no brainer.

I think the club is worth it if you buy the exclusives and what not. The club fee is $40. So whenver there's a club exclusive it's $40 off our price, whether there be 1 or 2 figures. We get a free club figure. Botcon is cheaper for the members. I like the club magazine that we get. So for me, I find it worth it.

Pft. Not if you live in the glory of the United States.

$40 or $50 whatever it is now, get's you:

a limited basic size figure ($8)
6 magazines/comics ($2-3 ? so, 12-18$)
and a discounted Botcon admission as well as access to limited club toys at the discount price

Now, it you live in the states, it's definately worth it. The cost of the items sent to you would be around $20, that leaves 20-30 unaccounted for as overhead for the club or to account for other costs. If you buy one exclusive or go to botcon, you make that up.

I really fail how to see being a member of the club makes you desperate. Saying that is as dick-ish as if I were to say, '$40? what are you too poor to get in? sucks to be you.'

Not likely.

They sold out this year. In years past, extra product has been offered on the site. It's very very doubtful they will do that this year.
