We always see the same old story line the war between Bots and Cons they are always going around and around with Bots as the angelic heroes of goodness and Cons as the empodiment of pure evil. So why can't the Decepticons be humanized and made relatable to some extent?
Some story lines include Optimus and Megatron being former friends only for Megatron to be the one responsible for ruining that friendship and starting the war but why can't it be the other way around or at least half way? Why can't there be a story line where Optimus reveals that Megatron is the Con he is because Optimus did something horrible to him.
I say this because the Con army is made up of half their race from what I've heard if that's true they can't all be bad that's not realistic and they all would have to have a reason for following Megatron.
Do you think that Megatron or the Decepticons should be more fleshed out in a series?

It would be nice for something like this to come out. It would surely get a lot of people into it, I would be. But I think a lot of people are used to the old story of how the Autobots and Decepticons came about

Prime is doing a decent story right now. The 'cons are given plenty time to show their characters on screen.

Check out Beast Machines. Primal as a totalitarian religious fanatic is pretty out there compared to most takes on the franchise. I love the darkness of that show. I love that Primal is every bit as much in the wrong as Megatron, just coming from a different angle.

I like the premise of that series, but I just can't get past the animation. That and they turn Cybertron organic. How the hell do you do that and why!?

Two questions that shall forever go unanswered.
And I love Prime. I love the story, I love the characters, I ESPECIALLY love the 'Cons. You can't tell me that Knock Out isn't hilarious or Soundwave isn't a BAMF. As much as I love them, however, I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish that they would flesh them out a bit more. Dreadwing is kind of getting that treatment but only because the writers seem to have plans for him later on. What we have here with the 'Cons is a classic case of dynamic flat characters. The character concepts and characteristics are gold, but even the most interesting of characters are capable of stagnation. I want to see ROUND characters. I want to see more definite interactions between the 'Cons besides backstabbing each other. KO and BD were awesome, even if they weren't shown actually interacting with each other as much as just being on screen together. The Decepticons make up a majority of remaining Cybertronians, so like LordScourge said: there's bound to be different characters having different dynamics with each other.
Another thing, Breakdown talking with the drones like equals (or a soundboard) or Starscream pouring his spark out to Soundwave (with questionable degrees of sincerity, but still). We never really saw Breakdown's little crush go anywhere except going up in flames. I love the 'Bots and I love Prime and I love the story and the writing and the writers. But adding this level of depth, this delicious new view on the antagonists, would instantly make Prime my #1 fave. I crave characterization like nicotine, and we can't deny that the 'Cons are a seriously interesting bunch.

I think recent storylines are doing something along what you're saying, not by making the Autobots Angelic and the Decepticons responsible for the fall but by making the original Primes Angelic and then also responsible for the fall.
I would like to see what you're discussing (fleshed out Deceps) but I will, once again mention the G1 TechSpecs in regards to that-they had the whole plethora of attitudes and past histories.
I agree that a large number of both main factions having begun as civilians and eventually having chosen a side would be good to observe, but I'm a stickler for the old version as well:
The Decepticons were predominantly military (in a time when AltModes couldn't be selected 'on spec'. Being an Autobot was a matter as uncomplicated as that of looking different and coming from a different caste-hence the beginning was effectively about discrimination and the appearance of a new world order. Later it progressed into a matter of gunning for (or trying to hold on to) whatever cities had Energon production facilities left, and by the time of G1, War was the only remembered way of life.
I wouldn't like this to be changed TOO much because the trend is to wipe the old out altogether when doing so.
